When I opened the package I had high hopes when I saw the size and construction of the solar panel and laser. I used the ac adapter to charge the battery for 6 hours as the instructions required and I set out to install the stakes and light up the house. Installation was easy as the stakes are sharp and I easily set up the solar panel and laser to cover the most sq ft on my house. Using the handy remote I turned on the unit and eureka a stream of red and green stars appeared brightly on my home.Here is where the tide turned....I called my wife out to check out the new laser and she asked where the green light went? In the time it took me to walk into the house and grab my wife the green laser failed. I toggled through the settings on the remote but no improvement. I left it out overnight and let it charge today hoping for a different result but no green light. This thing is priced $40 above the competition and absolutely doesn't deliver. Save your money and try another brand. So glad for amazon prime refund policy.

This is my favorite solar projector because it has the spot light function which can be used outside of the holidays in places where there is no power outlets. The remote control is very useful and higher quality than some of the other solar projectors. The output and brightness is comparable to wired projectors. The fact that the solar panel can be placed separately than the projector itself and has a long cable between them allows you to find the ideal place for both.The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because in the end despite having a large solar panel and battery, it still doesn't have sufficient duration to last 6-8 hours on rainy and cloudy days during winter months where the days are shorter. Although in spotlight mode it seems to last longer.I paid $55 for mine and it did better than $65 solar projectors.

Use only the green lights, even with panel shaded part of day the lasers stays on all night.. If the transmitter itself sits in sun over 100* the green beam has a thermal breaker.. You just need to reset power at the solar panel.. Read a lot of reviews "my green laser stopped work" they should have said "I never read looked at product info and never tried to press the only button".. It's designed that way so it doesn't burn up...

The solar powered star projector and Cree led arrived on time and was as advertised. It was quickly assembled and brightened my home and the neighborhood during the Christmas season. I have not used it since then but plan to do so during the upcoming Christmas season. I would recommend this item based on my experience.

This light is just wonderful. I bought one for Christmas; however, it is now the end of May, and it is still set up in our front yard. As it turns out, the white light makes a wonderful Malibu light for our landscaping. We live in the Southern California desert, so the solar panel has unlimited sunlight. I am considering purchasing a second or third light for our year round use.

The light, solar panel and remote all seem to be well made. The brightness of the green and red star projector is terrific and the cred led is bright enough to light our entire parking area. The remote works great as well. If it continues to work this well over time, it will be a 5 star product.

I bought this mid 2016 It worked for two or three days It is 4 years now and I just come across this when I was looking for something different and had to stop and let other people know this is a bad buy at any price. Allan

This is a great alternative if you have an older house without any outside electrical outlets. The lights show up great but they are not as bright as the traditional Christmas lights so if you were expecting bright lights to blind your neighbors this isn't it, but it will make your house festive and not drive your electric up
