very adjustable, separate zone control, not the most attractive
I tried three different ones, so I thought I’d share all the reviews to compare and contrast.ARRIS Heated Vest Size Adjustable 7.4V Battery Electric Warm Vest for Hiking CampingThis one I am probably keepingPros- I LOVE that you can control all three zones separately (chest, back, stomach). I also love that its adjustable, this is especially great as I am pregnant right now, so I can make it bigger, then smaller again to fit afterwards. Right now obviously I don’t want the stomach heat and I rarely want the back heat, this is the only one I’ve found where you can control zones separately. The battery supposedly last longer, I haven’t tested it out for long periods, but, if true, big bonus.Cons- Battery is heavy in pocket- but this is true for all of them. Doesn’t look particularly attractive, reminds me of like a hunting vest or something; vneck hangs very low. But I tend to go for comfort over appearance.Ptahdus Men's Heated Vest, Lightweight Down Heated Vest for Men with Neck Warmer (Included Battery Pack)Poor quality material in both vest and zipper, just seemed cheap and zipper did not move easily like quality zippers do. Also ran small. It had heat in chest and back, but you could not do them separately, which isn’t great for indoors when you are sitting on a couch and your back is getting too warm. I believe the neck can be controlled separately.Venture Heat Women's Heated Vest with Battery 12 Hour - The Roam Puffer Heated Vest for Women, USB PoweredPros – looks nice, quality material in both vest and zipper. Warmer definitely works. Probably a lot of people (mainly women) will be happy with this one as its well designed and looks and feels nice, not everyone will care about the cons below.Cons – can’t control chest and back separately and back gets too warm for me, although this might be different if not pregnant. Runs small. Battery reportedly doesn’t last as long as others (I have not tried this out though)

Practical
Great product, looks good, purchased as gift and the recipient loves it. Great for cold weather or just around the house with multiple options for heat levels for comfort. Would highly recommend.

Great vest
This vest was amazing. It was 28 degrees, snowing, wind blowing 15knt all day & I was toasty warm on high heat. Layered up naturally (wasn’t just a shirt & vest). I highly recommend buying an extra battery though. This stopped working after 6hrs on high. That last hour out in those elements with no heat had me questioning myself how I went so long without owning one in the past. Great vest, style is sharp, & comfortable. No complaints

Great heated vest for the money!
I'm a big fan of heated gear. I have other heated clothing, from jackets to sweatshirts, and this is my first vest. I really like the vest, because it's a lot more versatile. You can wear this vest under your hunting gear, motorcycle jacket or even regular everyday casual attire. The vest fits well, and there are buttons to adjust the vest to whatever size you may need. It looks like it would fit pretty much everybody style unless you were very small or very large. Everyone in between should fit without issue. The vest works by plugging in the battery, then you have to hold the power button until the lights stay on. That is only to power the vest. To turn on the heat, you have to press and hold the power button on the front of the vest until it turns red. The vest will stay red and automatically switch to white (medium) probably to save battery. You can press on in to cycle through from white, to blue back to red again, which is the highest setting. The vest on Red is pretty warm. Even white is decent. To really take advantage of the heat, I feel it's best to keep the vest on the inner most layer closest to your skin, then a hoody if you're wearing one, and finally a jacket. The vest will generate heat, which your outerwear will keep in.Some cons --It's annoying that you have to turn on and off the battery, in addition to the vest. Other heated wear do not have this two step process. On others you need to plug it in and press the button on the vest and you're good to go.-The battery is proprietary, if you want to buy an extra, you must buy one from this company, and I think they go for $35 a pop.-The charger is proprietary also, and I can't seem to find where you can buy an extra charger. Even if you buy an extra battery, it doesn't seem to come with a charger. For this reason, if you're out and about, you need to bring your charger with you to charge in the field. Not very convenient.Overall, for the money, it's a decent buy. I'm a little concerned about the lack of options for batteries and chargers, but for now, everything works flawlessly.

Love the zippered sizing
I love the zippered siding, which allows me to customize it to the right size for my body. The heat is wonderful and as advertised. My body and neck stayed nice and warm on a cold night, and I couldn't be more pleased.

I love this vest!!!
I love this heated vest. Very even heat, I especially love that I can individually control the temperature to the chest, abdomen and back. I usually have the back on second from hottest setting and the chest on medium with the abdomen off completely. Super comfortable. However, this vest is big. I am 5'10, 165lbs yet this vest is quite loose fitting. I love the idea of the zip in side panels to expand this vest however I wish they actually made this vest diameter small enough to even have to consider using one. This vest is loose enough that I can comfortably wear a sweater and fall coat UNDERNEATH. I would rather have my vest against my shirt and not tight but fitting so that I could put my coat on overtop. I would say you would need to weigh at least 185-190lbs at 5'10" height before this vest would fit comfortably. I purchased this originally for sitting in a tree stand during November as I sometimes get cold when it is pouring rain and windy, however I find this vest so cozy and the heat so nice that I find myself wearing it 3-4x a week for everything from late evening watching TV to raking leaves in the yard. No more cumbersome jacket that has me zipping it up and down constantly to try and regulate my temperature, now I just throw on a lightweight long sleeved shirt and the vest, and change the heat settings as needed while working away. This vest is very flexible and has no uncomfortable spots when laying on it. The battery is a bit large but I find I get good use out of it. I did purchase another identical battery so that I can always have one fully charged as these batteries do take a LONG time to charge (I'm taking hours to charge). Having the second battery is awesome though as I just swap out the battery and in seconds I'm back. I also love the auto-off feature for the battery, if you turn off the 3 heat zones but not the battery it will turn-off automatically after a few minutes so that it doesn't drain.Overall, I LOVE THIS VEST. Yes, I have a single improvement I would have liked this vest to be smaller in diameter so that it fit me better but I can live with it based on all of the many great things about this vest. I highly recommend this vest and have in fact recommended it to several of my coworkers as well.

Love this vest - I wish there was a black option for ladies
I ordered this for my dad because I have a blue ladies version from ARRIS (which I LOVE). My dad loves all of the same features about this vest that I do - the multiple heating panels, neck panel (a MUST have), the amount of heat from this vest, the zip-out sides to adjust for more or less bulk under the vest, the length etc.My main complaint - is that this company does not make this vest in black for ladies.I ordered a black ladies vest from another company because of that, and am super disappointed with the OTHER companies vest. BUT that experience made me appreciate the design of this ARRIS vest even more. (Trust me 2 features you should pay attention to before buying a heated vest) ie In the ARRIS vest the battery pack is where the hand pockets are. So you have a double pocket, accessible from the outside of the vest (as compared to the battery pack going on the inside of the vest on your side). In the ARRIS a vest, one pocket holds the battery pack and the other pocket holds “stuff.” This may not seem like a big deal. But trust me - IT IS.The other vest I bought for myself has the battery pack on the inside. Faaaaar on the inside. And in an awkward spot. So if you don’t need the heat immediately, you have to unzip the vest, give yourself a half body hug, and at an awkward angle attach the battery pack and turn it on. And it is tricky to even see if it is on from the angle of where the battery pack is. And when you move your arm on the side where the battery pack is, you have to angle your arm out so you don’t knock the battery pack and possibly turn it off. But even if you don’t turn the pack off - it is weird having the battery where it is, since you are always aware of this bulky pack in between your armpit and your waist. For comparison - this ARRIS vest gives you easy access to the pocket with the battery pack and you don’t notice the bulk of the battery pack because it is tucked in on the front. Also - the other company sent a battery pack that only worked once. So pay attention to the reviews. I am not the first person to have that issue with the other company. My only minor complaints for the ARRIS vest:1. The instructions are not great regarding what the buttons do (ie colours etc). It is not that much work to punch the buttons and figure out what you prefer. But I bought this for my dad who is 75. So he wanted to read up on it and the instructions are pretty unhelpful.2. I wish the battery pack lasted longer. On high heat I can only get 3-4 hours. And if you need this for longer you have to recharge and the charging process is quite slow IMO.Otherwise - and especially in light of my experience with the other heated vest company - I am a huge fan of these ARRIS vests!! I have recommended them to SO many people!!

Still working after 4 years
This is still working after 4 years. It was given as a gift to my father who is perpetually cold. He uses it from Fall to Spring each year as part of his layers and it keeps him warm. He did have an issue with the connector coming loose when he first received it but he solved that issue with a simple elastic band and hasn't had a problem since.
