Works for the application I bought for. I use it to weigh my bags of aluminum cans before selling to see how heavy the bags are. Handy to weigh other items as well. I like the ability to recharge, so I don't need to buy batteries every time I want to use it.

Perfect for my needs
We were looking for a rechargeable luggage scale and there isn’t much selection on Amazon for for rechargeable scales. We just had such bad luck with leaving batteries in and having them explode after a few months rendering the scales useless. Having a rechargeable scale is so much better. We don’t know how long the batteries will last but I hope longer than a year.

Not as description.
I bought this for my father (70 years old) I was hoping it was going to be easier to operate. Thankfully I walked inside the house to help him to figure it the trick which required to remove the bag from the hook to read the weight. The moment of truth came the next at the airport which most bags calculated well.
