My key stripped and my keypad ran out of battteries. Am I screwed?

Couldn't find keys and while my code "appeared" to work the thing would NOT UNLOCK. For the heck of it I tried the 159# and it did show "unlock" .... wow could not believe that! However still wouldn't open so I picked it up and turned it on it's side and banged it a few times and then tried the code and BOOM - popped right open. However, now when I try my regular four digit code I get that red exclamation point- Great now I have a new code??? How do I reset that thing!?

It has holes drilled to be mounted securely so logic will tell you regarding how water proof that makes it. Fire "proof" no, but more accurately, fire resistant.
