What is the raven made out of? It looks like it’s inflatable plastic

The raven like a rubbery plastic. The staff is plastic. It's a very nice item. Worth every penny. I wish I didn't have it packed up in Halloween costumes or I would take a picture.

How long are each piece before assembly? Trying to see if this would fit in our suitcase. Ty

I don't have the exact measurements but If you're talking about a large suitcase and not a carry on, then it will definitely fit in two pieces. I brought mine to DisneyWorld last year for the Halloween parade and it fit inside my suitcase.

Could you use just the top half on its own, for a child size version?

It is child sized. I had to insert it into a piece of pvc pipe for me to use it.

Yes it does. The entire staff is hollow. That's why it's so lite.
