Okay, $1 a piece for my plate holders is a good price, but the shipping is way more. I ordered four, which cost me an additional $6.64 in shipping, totalling $10.64 for four holders. At that price, what you get is reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised that this item does not look cheap; in fact, I find them attractive. However, be reminded that these holders are black. I'm using them to hold 7 and 8 inch decorative plates; they would easily hold a plate of 12 inches in diameter.Also, instructions were provided, if you can believe that, and they were appreciated. The lacquered, acrylic base (i.e., plastic), is attached to a thick metal wire. The hinges work, but they are very, very stiff. As a result, if you didn't have instructions to make you pay attention, you could easily break the holder by forcing the base and wire apart (at least I probably would have). The seller was not Amazon, but my package was mailed priority mail and arrived at least three days ahead of the estimated receipt date.

At first I was a little upset when I got these, because I realized that the reason I bought them (to hold up a mini- TV) wasn't needed - it had a stand built in the back. But I found that these are great to hold up a decorative plate, or even an old frame that needed the back support. So I found uses for both of them anyway. Yay!

I purchased several packages of this small display stands to place signs on the tables in our church hall. I printed the signs on 5x7 glossy photo paper (to give you an idea of the weight) and these stands worked well and served the purpose. They are small and light, so I really don't think they'd work for signs any larger than the ones I used.

was happy with the stand,, however, packaged 2 to a pack. don't know why 2. at any rate, had to return the portable tv since it didn't work in my area and couldn't justify return mailing stands so I am stuck with both stands. May try to find a small tv later that will work in my area.

The design of the item ws clever and I did use it for a while for an application for which it was not designed. It did perform well even under those conditions. I not longer have the item in use but have kept it for possible further use.

I am pleased with the construction quality and the price of these. I like that it has the adjustable arm so you can determine your plate or plague angle. I bought 4 and have not had any problems with any.They are not the prettiest, but they are exactly as pictured, and do not distract from my displays except for a clear blown glass piece but this is to be expected with any stand that also is not clear.

We bought this stand to go with Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV as the pictures don't show any stand and the specs don't either. But it has a stand making this small display stand useless. I suppose if you have some decorative plates or pictures it would be fine, but I just wasted my money. So the bottom line is that the TV doesn't give all the details. JK
