These are absolutely essential when ripping out carpet. I bought this whole bunch and only used one to rip out a large room of carpet. And I cut it into small enough pieces to fit into a contractor bag and the blade was still sharp to the end. I didn't even have to flip it around. I now have these in my shop, in every vehicle and at work. They fit regular boxcutters.
