We ordered 2 of the 2 drawer under-desk file cabinets with locks. They arrived lightening fast, and were very well packaged with Styrofoam packing around all outside edges and some in between other parts to keep them from moving around during shipping. The packages were very heavy, and had to be handled one at a time. There was absolutely no damage of any kind to either file cabinet. I agree with other reviewers that the assembly instructions could be better. I will say, I not only read, but studied the instructions and matched up all the parts first according to the order of assembly, which was easy enough because every part was labeled. I used a small table to work off of, and just threw an old bath towel over it to keep from scratching up the metal faces of our new file cabinets. That way I could sit down and put them together while I watched a movie on Amazon Prime. :-) All the parts must go together exactly as drawn in the instructions. The included screwdriver was too small for my big hands, so I used my own tools. You can use a drill with a screwdriver bit, but the tolerances are tight, so the longer the Phillips bit is the better. I wasn't in a hurry and just assembled mine with a regular #2 Phillips screwdriver. I also used a small flashlight to see the holes inside the frame and drawers when necessary. When starting the screws you're cutting threads in the metal walls with each screw. That's why they feel a little hard to start. As you keep going it gets easier until you can tighten down the screw. You can snug them up tight, but try not to over-tighten them because stripping out the hole is a distinct possibility. Pay special attention to installing the drawer slides. Study the instructions because they will clue you into figuring out how to take apart, and install each piece, so later when you install the drawers they will slide together easily and work smoothly. The instructions for installing the lock are accurate, and the lock and accompanying rod install easily. All in all I think the assembly was easy enough, although I probably took longer than most people putting these together. I actually had fun assembling these. Both of the file cabinets are sitting underneath one side of our L-shaped desk. They fit perfectly. We love that the drawers slide fully out of the cabinet making it easy to access the files in the back of the drawer. The drawers slide in and out very easily. They are made to hold hanging file folders without any other hardware, or frames needed. The locks are a bonus and work great. On top of all that, the bottom drawer of each cabinet has a small wheel under it to keep the cabinet from tilting forward when you extend the drawer out fully. For no more than these cost it was a great deal for us, and are going to help us stay organized for years to come.

The sticker on my file cabinet says it all - LOVE! Not only was this cabinet easy to put together for me as a woman, but customer service was excellent. It took about 45 minutes or less for me to put together by myself, and the instructions were clear. Love that the seller included a screw driver so that I wouldn’t need to look for my own. And everything was nicely packaged to prevent damage. I am using this cabinet for a lot of documents I had. Thankfully, it was small enough for me to even store inside of my office closet. I did purchase another cabinet a while ago from another seller on Amazon and I must say this one is by far the best. The drawers easily and smoothly slide when opening and shutting, and that is because you must follow the directions and slide in and out for a few times after installing to get the drawer and oil in the crevices used to the grooves. Be careful when handling though because the oil can and will get on you and the drawers but just wipe it off of you and the drawers. As for delivery, I thought it wouldn’t arrive in time for Christmas because I was initially promised a specific date, but I think due to weather conditions, there was a delay. However, it did arrive before Christmas and I was extremely thankful. I had reached out to the seller about the delivery date and they were gracious enough to promptly write me back and inform me they were able to have the delivery date moved up and it came that next day. Overall, great cabinet an great customer service. I may even order another one if I run out of room.

Review: This is one of the most frustrating products I’ve ever put together. The materials feel cheap, but the biggest issue is the assembly process—it’s absolutely terrible. The instructions are very difficult to follow and poorly explained. I had to rely on the install video, but that wasn’t much help either. It moves too fast, doesn’t clearly show part numbers or labels, and doesn’t even follow the same sequence as the written instructions. The design itself makes assembly harder than it should be. Screws are placed so close to the walls that the included screwdriver is basically useless—you need a drill with an extension to even get some of them in properly. Also, some of the metal front pieces look nearly identical but are actually different sizes. This is not clearly explained, and if you mix them up, you’ll end up taking things back apart. Overall, this took 3–4 hours to assemble, which is completely unreasonable for a small cabinet. Honestly, I’ve had easier and more straightforward experiences rebuilding a snowmobile motor than putting this together. I would have been better off going to a furniture or office supply store and buying a higher-quality file cabinet for barely any more money and saving myself the frustration and time. Would not buy again.

Arrived on time, sturdy construction, and looks good. I was able to use both legal and letter size folders just depending on which way you insert the files. the doors open and close nicely. Only issue is with the instructions, they were simple, but very vague. Even though it came with a cheap screwdriver and wrench, they were pretty much useless and I had to get out my cordless screwdriver and other tools to put together. I am a handyman and do all my own work, but this thing still took me about 2 hours to put together. The biggest issue is that the instructions don't tell you which way a panel goes, not until you start putting it together do you realize, oh, it goes the other way, or its upside down. Once together though, it is a nice cabinet. B+

Love the size as it fits in our closet super great. Out of the way. Great storage space. Not difficult to assemble. Locks on each drawer are a super plus as they all work well. Looks great. Thought we had missing parts but they were zip tied to other pieces. All parts accounted for.

The finished product is exactly what you would expect it to be. The assembly process goes very well if you take your time and check the pictures carefully. It's sturdy for a low-budget cabinet - not quite sturdy enough to use as occasional seating but it works perfectly for sorting and storing documents and office supplies. The drawer slides are good quality and the drawers open and close easily, even when loaded. I'd recommend it for anyone needing a small dorm-fridge-sized file storage cabinet.

We have assembled a number of items, usually with fairly easy to read and understand instructions. This cabinet’s instructions had pictures of the different steps to put it together but lacked the method to get there. So you’re constantly trying to figure how ‘this’ attaches to ‘that’. It’s the worst experience we’ve encountered with assembling. It took 3.5 hours to complete, most of the time with 2 people. For the price, it’s a good enough file cabinet.

Was fun putting it together. The instructions were pretty good most of the time, but a couple of times you had to figure out on your own how pieces went. All in all it worked out and is a very nice sturdy cabinet.
