Q: What is the inside dimension of the pocket? i want to use this to put my iphone 6 on the inside wall of my boat. the wall is fiber glass and smooth. w

My iPhone 7 just fits but you would need to use some other type of adhesive because the won’t hold anything heavy by itself

Clean off back of pocket with warm soapy water. Rinse well. Let air dry. Clean mirror surface good. Let dry and reapply. Mine are in my travel trailer so i take them down and reapply al the time

Q: Could I put double sided tape or command strips to the back of it and mount to a regular painted wall?

Im skeptical .The the back surface is smooth, made of a suction material. Mentioning it, I experimented with electrical tape and I was easily able to peel the tape off. My sure there are products on the market that come pre packaged and can do that for you. I just have issues with cleaning the sticky residue command strips leave.
