This item is very durable. Has zipper and flaps with Velcro to avoid water from getting in. I seen complaints about the straps. They give you plenty of straps so don’t worry about them tearing. The instructions are ok but it’s common sense. It comes with Matt to avoid it from slipping on your roof. Overall great product especially for the price. Drove 1000 miles and 1000 miles back. No issues what so ever.

It’s a long story as to why I needed this but ordered it one day and received it the next!! Opened it up and laid it out on the floor!! Started placing bags and suitcases to see what and how we could get into it! Took a photo of how it was placed!! Next day laid it out on the roof and placed in it three suitcases, three duffel bags a blow up mattress and a boat dry bag!! Secured it all down with the supplied straps! All went well with the first trip! The bag lifts in the wind and the non slip piece gathers back under the bag! Next trip in a few weeks I will tape the non slip piece to the front of the bag so it doesn’t move! Well made, works perfectly for the job by freeing up space inside the car!!

For the price of the product it was a fine alternative to a hard top carrier. Drove through the rain and it was waterproof. I could fit one large suitcase and two small carry ons. It came with a rubber mat to put between the rooftop and carrier but it didn't stop it from sliding back and bumping up against my antenna. Drove it with a total of 8 hours and there was some small stress tears. I'm not rating it a 3 because I didn't lose all my luggage on the interstate.

We used it to transport overflow items from Arkansas to Florida and it was great. No issues at all.

I’ve only used this twice since I’ve bought it. The second trip rain got in my bag so it was too late to return it if I use it again I’ll be bag everything in it.

This is low end. I wish I had spent a little more for something better.

I recently used this roof bag to move between states in a Subaru Outback with side rails. I test fitted all of my cargo in it before assembling it on the roof so that I would know how to fit things. I put 2 additional straps diagonally so to ensure the front back was secure. I felt confident that the weight of the load along with the straps would hold it onto the car safely. There is velcro to hold the orange flap down on 3 sides. My only problem was that the side I put in front was the one without velcro, so I taped it down with duct tape after a few hundred miles when the flap started blowing up. My advice is to assemble it on your car with that side in the rear. It is durable and even after 2,000 mile RT looks like new. Will use again.

To transport extra cargo to another state. Had rain and wind. Everything stayed good … moved a little bit towards back of suv but overall worked great 😊
