Being in a wheelchair for the last 12 years has been a real learning process. I have to be SO careful to avoid skin issues. Have't had any real problems, certain fabrics irritate my skin more than others but I've been fine. After buying a new hard cushion, I felt my skin become slightly irritated. I've had that before, but this time, the skin DID tear slightly because of an uncomfortable chair, getting wet outside more than a few times in my yard etc.and there's no way NOT to sit on it hour after hour and have it heal. It DID heal a little every week but on week 3, I decided a donut pillow might make the difference. Within 3 days, no more irritation, no tiny spots of blood, no soreness and healing was fast. Still, I will need this from now on...not thrilled about that, but it's comfy, holds it's shape and at least I know I won't have any more issues. The point is to keep your butt dry, off the regular cushion on the chair, your tailbone is in a better position and I find, getting out of the chair a couple of times a day beneficial, even if it's for 15-30-60 minutes. I work at home, so that helps. Also, when you wash, be sure you are 100% dry is a big key, and just be mindful of how you re-adjust yourself on the seat (my real danger problem without the pillow) . Glad I bought this...I was getting worried! All healed after 2 or 3 days! A week later I can relax again, I was SO stressed before buying a donut pillow! It's exactly what I needed. Now if I can just wrangle the zipper back together after washing it! I bought 2 pillows, so I can switch them out when I wash the fabric weekly.

OMG after suffering either in bed or sitting on my Lazy Boy I finally decided to look for relief. I have discomfort in my tailbone area and mild rash on my buttocks. I ordered this after reading all the reviews. They were most helpful. I FINALLY can sit in my Lazy Boy and sleep on my back without pain. The fact they have a removable cover and textured bottom, so it doesn't move, adds to the plus.I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. It is the answer to my prayers. I just bought another so I have one in my bed and the other in my Lazy Boy.

I bought this tailbone seat cushion for a family member with an upcoming hemorrhoid surgery. It arrived two days prior to the surgery and we took it to the hospital for after the procedure. I don’t know how we would have got the family member home in the car without it. We are in a city and took a cab to and from the surgery. The cushion is the perfect texture and has been used the day of and everyday since the surgery. It will also be used at work in the office when our family member returns to work. Depending on how long the recovery is we may be a second cushion so there can be one at the office and house. I want to also mention that the other reviews really helped in the decision to purchase this product. It is well made and as I stated it’s a lifesaver after a surgery or injury. Thank you!!

Bought it post delivery to ease pain in my tail bone. It doesn’t provide enough cushion/support as I expected it would. Not very useful to ease my pain.

It's firm and doesn't budge, but it does exactly what I need it to do. After a tailbone injury, standing up after sitting on normal chairs was quite difficult. This cushion really alleviated the pain from getting up, though sitting on it does take a bit of getting used to. It's not uncomfortable, but it's weird.

Excellent product! I have a cyst at the base of my tailbone that is very uncomfortable and this pillow reduces the pressure on the cyst, leaving it muchmore comfortable since I spend most of my time sitting. I broke my leg (extensively) last August and lived in a wheelchair f the majority of the past year leaving me with a sore bum. The pillow has reduced my discomfort dramatically and I truly appreciate the relief I've felt since I started using it.

No stars for 'easy to inflate' as this cushion doesn't have to be inflated. So glad I picked this one out. Very comfortable and light weight, I have a large enough clothe shopping bag to carry it in and can sit on the donut when out to eat, ride in the car or drive the car. Love it! Well worth the money!

I needed a seat cushion to help bolster me after an upcoming surgery. It works great, is super comfy- not too soft and not too hard, just the right amount of support. I am #135 pound woman and it works exactly and better than I'd hoped when I purchased it!

If you are thinking about purchasing this because you're pregnant and have a sore back/tailbone, keep moving! Sitting on this thing it like sitting on a toilet seat made of rock, not to mention the way it's angled shoves the baby right up to your esophagus.
