I loved the design of this festive/Winter-themed bedding set when I saw it: I have sets of pyjamas very similar to the designs of both sides. It’s not the most grown-up of bedding set designs and doesn’t really ‘go’ with our room – but sometimes it’s nice to have something a bit silly and festive simply because you like it, and it does look in real life exactly as it’s shown in the product images.I was a bit disappointed to find on getting this out of the packaging that although visibly slightly fluffy in texture the fabric wasn’t the soft-feeling flannelette-style brushed cotton I was expecting.Instead, it was quite stiff and hard from the fabric being printed. Since this has really dark and bright colour dyes to it, it definitely needs to be washed before first use – I made the mistake of not doing this with a navy bedding set back in the days when I was a student and turned myself a lovely shade of Smurf-blue that didn’t come off properly for days. Lesson learned. After a wash and cool tumble drying, this had appreciably softened, and it has softened a bit more with use. It’s still not as soft as I would have liked, but I guess a bit of wear will get it there.I don’t know why some reviews are claiming this isn’t made from brushed cotton: the fabric is labelled as 100% cotton, it’s breathable like cotton, and has been brushed. I can only think people are being put off by the initial stiffness of the heavily dyed surfaces.I hadn’t spotted when ordering that this set of bedding fastens with snap fastenings – I have a couple of fleece sets from this brand and they’re both button-fastening which I much prefer. The snaps used are not the best quality. I may end up adding some buttons in between them because I’m a restless sleeper, and prone to kicking open covers with press fastenings (and losing the duvet).

No colours came came out when washed. The quality of the bedding is excellent. Products was delivered on time. Very happy 😃

Was expecting a soft bedding, it’s is very stiff and not cosy at all, feels like your lying under cardboard. You 100% have to wash before use as it stinks of plastic when you take out of the packaging. Washed inside out, with conditioner and still rock solid and colour faded links despite following instructions.

This bedding set looks good but its quality does not match. It is not brushed cotton as described. When taking it off for washing today, the material tore as we were unpopping the press-studs. I would not waste my money on this.
