This is a lovely, Lost Wax Cast, Victorian pattern twist doorbell. It's available in a polished brass or several antiqued finishes. The incredible design clarity has been accomplished through the lost wax casting process (the same method as fine jewelry-making). This set includes the mechanical doorbell and the Rococo twist operator. The bell goes on the inside of the door, while the twist bell operator goes on the exterior of the door. This set is used for doors/walls up to 1 3/4" thick. Doorbell Measurements: 5 3/8" tall by 3 3/4" wide. Operator Measurements: The backplate measures 1 1/4" wide by 3 1/8" tall. The steel shaft/spindle measures 2 1/4" long, and is 3/16" square in diameter.
