I found this stuff about 10 years ago when a stylist who specializes in Curly Girl styles used it on my hair. Oh my god!!! I had soft, full ringlets for DAYS. If you follow the directions (i.e. drying hair gently with a diffuser or air drying, using a generous amount of product, and protecting it with a satin cap at night), you will be thrilled with the results! When it is dry, the curls are soft and not crunchy. Best if used from a few inches from the scalp to the ends. Once you put it on, LEAVE IT ALONE and let it dry. You can use clips to lift areas if you feel the need. Resist messing with it, and it will form casts around your curls. One thing though: you can't comb though it after it dries. It will make your hair feel bushy and you will lose the curl. Wish I'd have known about this stuff when I was younger!

Love this product. It does not make your hair crunchy like other products. Hair remains soft and smells good.

I love this product and I tried to buy it every time I run out of it. But it's getting too expensive and I'm already thinking about looking for another one with similar characteristics. Besides that it leaves my curls really nice, loose and no residues

I was a bit surprised at the new short wide bottle and scent as this was not shown on the page when I purchased it. I don’t mind the scent and find the product still works very well hence my five star review. I have 1/3rd of the bottle left and the pump stopped working! Upon inspection the pump works fine it’s just too short and doesn’t reach for down enough to pull a majority of the gel before running out. I hope this is fixed before my next order.

I am very disappointed with this product. I have been trying out all the styling products from deva curls to see which one does the best with my curls. For reference I have a mixture of 2c deep waves and 3a/b curls. My hair texture has changed since having two babies back and back. I have been really trying to get my curls back to the nice 3B that they use to be. When I use this product my hair in the back becomes so knotty. When I say knotty I am talking about a massive dread lock of a knot in the back of my head. I tried not defusing it to see if that would help. It didn’t. I am unsure why when I use this product it makes my hair extremely knotty to the point where I can not get a brush through it. It would take me a good 20-40 minutes to detangle. I tried this product on numerous occasions to see if it was the weather ( cold, humidity, dry air etc) even thought it might be my water. Then I switched products to test out if it was indeed my water or not and my hair was completely different when using another product. It would not tangle like this. I will not be buying this again it recommending it for anyone.

I love DevaCurl products and this one is not exception. The gel is soft and keeps my curly hair feeling nature.

I have fine curly hair. It’s thinning as I get older. My hair dresser uses DevaCurl and recommended I use it regularly. It is very light, but holds the curls. I just scrunch my wet hair with it and let it air dry. No crunchiness. I highly recommend.

It has been several years since I used this Deva Curl gel. I do find that it still has a nice light hold but the gel is definitely thinner than it used to be and I also don't think it smells as nice. Keep in mind that you do need to scrunch in a good amount of product for it to work, so for the price, it doesn't go as far as you would hope it would.
