This is the second one I have gotten. Works great for a lot of things. Carabiners are good quality and the whole thing is a good value in my opinion.

I purchased the static rope to pair with a roofer's harness. I am a single women homeowner and noticed the fascia of the 3 dormers on my 1-1/2 story home needed repair. They came un-tucked (?) and not watertight. Plus, some painting needed to happen. I used the chimney as the tie off as it is centered in the house. I measured the distance to the dormer faces and tied off accordingly before suiting up. I felt super safe harnessed and securely tied off with the heavy duty rope with safety latches. I completed all the jobs successfully. Working on a roof is no joke. Accidents happen too fast and having the proper safety equipment is cheap insurance. : )

Durable, found it to be excellent for use over a steep 50ft cliff!!

Ordered this rope as a static climbing rope in the 160 ft length.Dislikes:-Rope is not great for tying knots as it is rather stiff.-Jacket unravels quickly even from a small knick however the jacket does seem fairly abrasion resistant.-Rope does not stretch but if your intended use is with a prusik friction knot or mechanical descent device you will definitely need to milk this rope before use otherwise the jacket bunches up and is quite difficult to use. I ended up cutting both eyes off and was able to milk about 5-6ft of the jacket off.-The carabiner gates have pretty sharp and pointed edges that will snag on the rope and are sharp enough to cut skin.Likes:-Rope is a very bright color and doesn't bleed the dye while washing.-Rope works very well with ascending/descending devices (after a thorough milking) and seems to stand up well to devices with teeth on the cams.-Very little if any stretch.-The steel carabiners at the ends seem sturdy although I couldn't test them since i had to cut them off to properly milk the rope.Overall a pretty good rope after a proper milking.

I wanted a rope that had attachment points already secured. For work I was going down a steep slide area to take measurements and wanted a safety line to take along in order to feel safe being able to scale the loose slope back up to the road.

Well, talk about over built. This rope assembly is really well made with woven ends that are sealed with a very tight-fitting rubber cover. The ends are wrapped over very heavy duty eyelids. And the carabineers are also made for long-term heavy use. The rope it's self is of a good tight weave and looks and feels like I will never wear it out. The unit is heavier than I expected but comes in a convenient woven carry sack that has a longer than necessary Paracord closer that could be repurposed in an emergency situation. Overall, good value even at this price.

I actually used mine for a hanging swinging, I bought two ropes. These ropes are sturdy enough and also at the same time pleasing to the eye, to safely hold up my grandkids in my swing.
