This was my first needle punch project. I absolutely enjoyed this! Make sure you keep the loop as tight as possible when you are punching.

Loved the kit. Watched a video because I hadn't used a punch needle in years. Finished in just a few hours.

I'm so confused. The instructions don't show how to secure the cloth to the hoop. There's only 1 ring for the hoop.Edit #1:Will update once I get the replacement. I saw from other reviews that I am not the first to only receive half of the hoop. Luckily, I knew something was wrong. Since this is targeted towards complete beginners, and the instructions do not show securing the cloth.Which is odd.Making sure the cloth is drum tight is super important.Score is remaining a 2 until a complete product is received and used.Edit #2:I jumped in as soon as I got the replacement. The Panda was first and I completed it with no problems. I will say, though the instructions say to transfer the design, the design was already on the cloths from the original and replacements. Which is fine by me.When doing the owls, I had a feeling I was going to be short on brown yarn. I was. I just finished it out with the black yarn left over from the pandas. So that was a strike against it. First order I was missing half the hoop and now I'm short on a main color yarn.Still turned out nice though.I've continued to use the needle on my own projects which worked fine on the starter kit designs. Now that I'm over half way done with a project in a 10in hoop with the needle on D, there have been multiple times where it somehow unlatches itself from the crevice and the needle shoots back up into the barrel. I thought at first I was bumping it, but after the umpteenth time of it happening, I am not the one making it happen.

Very disappointed. Item came in good condition, but upon opening the box, I quickly realized there was no punch pen included. I had to go out and purchase one to finish the project. Also, there were numerous typos in the papers included. Very unprofessional. I won't be purchasing again.

Couldn't finish the owls because not enough dark brown yarn. Very disappointed.

This is a cute little product, The punch needle is sturdy, the needle is big. However, it did not come with a punch needle wire to thread it. So threading the needle has been very difficult. The hoop is sturdy as is the material and the materials pre printed. It also came with one hoop which appears to be used to hang the project. Manufacturer should include 2 hoops and a threading wire.

I had plenty of yarn for all of the other colors but I couldn’t finish the owls because I didn’t have enough brown.

Very disappointing! There is not enough brown yarn (yes I put the needle on "C").

This set came nicely packaged. Good quality yarn but unfortunately I ran out of yarn for both projects. Brown for the owls and white for the panda so I had to use some I had but not an exact match.
