The Vitamin Shoppe DGL (Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice) 760MG, Stomach Soothing Herbal Supplement (100 Chewable Tablets)

I can’t express how much I love this DGL. I have autoimmune diseases that often mess with my digestion, and get queasy several times weekly. I used to buy the DGL by Enzyme Therapy, but they sold to another company and changed their formula, resulting to a horribly hard, chalky, bitter chewable that didn’t do a thing for my stomach issues. I’ve tried several brands since but haven’t found an effective one, until now. This one tastes great (like a very mild, black licorice), is low in sugar but plenty sweet, and settles my tummy within minutes. I love this stuff and only ask that they don’t change their formula like the other company did.

These chewable tabs taste like licorice & really help at reducing my heartburn!

This dgl licorice works well for my tummy. If you have tried other manufacturers you know the flavor range is huge. This has a decent licorice flavor and the price is right.

Over two months ago, I spent 3 days in the hospital with an ulcer and hiatal hernia. Upon release, was prescribed carafate and pantoprazole. They were doing the job, until one day a few weeks later, after a bowl of frosted mini wheats and almond milk of all things, my stomach was ON FIRE, despite the prescriptions. Stumbled upon these at a Vitamin Shoppe near my house. Now I chew 3-5 daily. Usually 1 before a meal, or 2 if it's a big meal, or something acidic like pizza, and it has made a huge difference. No more fire stomach. Definitely recommend anyone having issues with GERD, ulcers, gastritis, etc. give these a try. Cheap and effective.

I was extremely disappointed when Enzymatic changed their formula and taste. Fortunately the Vitamin Shoppe DGL works and tastes really good, 2 tablets contain 760mg. Very happy I found a replacement and hopefully they will continue making this product.I had 2 bad bouts of gastritis for months and was in agony, dropped 30lbs. I did the whole endoscopy/colonoscopy ordeal. Dexilant and Gaviscon extra strength helped a bit. DGL was the only thing that cured it, after chewing the first tablet 70% of the symptoms went away and I was able to eat. Huge advocate of DGL and highly recommend it if you have stomach ailments.

I started taking these for indigestion. After taking it for a few days I noticed that I was having symptoms of low estrogen. I know the symptoms of low estrogen because I’ve had a hysterectomy so it’s something I watch out for. My estrogen dipped quickly and I didn’t know what was causing it because I thought licorice increased estrogen. But, the licorice was the only new thing that I’d started taking, the only change I made. So, I started to research (reputable source, NIH always) and found out that licorice can actually lower estrogen! Estrogen is truly what keeps you in good health. So, I started taking Maca to get my levels back up. I’ll never touch this again. The seller is great though.

This helps with the bloating and burping. Amazingly it also helps me have a deeper sleep. Doesn’t make me tired, but once I fall asleep I am getting a good 8 hours a night,

I like the flavor. They are a little hard to chew, but I have a lot of dental work.
