PROS - Thick leather, strong metal rivets and stitching. - Easily fitted onto a belt, carried in a pocket or thrown into a toolbox. - Keeps the shears protected and always to hand, and - The right way up to easily grasp the tool handles, - Preventing cut fingers. - Light weight. - The leather recovered after silly mis-treatment by us. - We left the holster in the garden where it received ~ 2 inches of rain over 4 days. - Careful, no heat slow drying did the trick. - No sloppiness around the metal rivets and stitching still tight. CONS - Always kept on a belt there is no problem. - Taken off, and laid in the garden it's easy to lose under foliage. - Knowing we would be forgetful again, the pouch now has - A band of bright red electrical sticky tape around it. - Easy to replace when it becomes worn. RECOMMENDATION - This purchase is our second. - No hesitation in buying another.

This is a very nice holster that will perfectly fit your Felco Shears and pruner in one handsome package. Sturdy rivets and quality leather will have this last for years with proper care. I recommend treating this with mink oil or some other leather protector to keep it supple and waterproof it for years of use. It’s worth the time and expense to treat it properly as you’ve already invested in the holster and top of the line garden tools. It’s custom built for easy access to your Felco garden tools and functions beautifully. One drawback is pruner pocket is a bit less secure than I’d like compared to the shears pocket but good enough. It would be perfect if it were a bit deeper/wider to get more of the pruner in the pocket to secure it better.

This is a well-made holster, constructed out of good-quality leather. Good enough that I'm not sure how they can make a profit on these. I'd price it at $15 or more. It is made of vegetable-tanned leather that does not appear to have any further processing. Because of that, it drinks up water like a 250 lb person after running a marathon. It's also very stiff. These two factors will shorten its lifespan. Before completely taking care of this problem with a good leather conditioner, you can take advantage of the properties of the leather by molding it to fit your shears perfectly. Here's how: 1. Cover your shears with plastic wrap in a way that will keep them dry. 2. Soak the holster in water. 3. Put your shears in the holster, shoving them down so the leather slightly stretches to match the shape of your shears. 4. Let the leather air-dry at room temperature. 5. Remove the shears and plastic wrap. Now you have a custom holster! But it is still very stiff and absorbent. It will get wet while you are gardening and its shape will change in arbitrary ways. It will get dirt and mud on it. The stains are marks of hard work, but mud will dry leather and make it crack. So you need to condition it. You can use whatever waterproofer or conditioner you use on your boots or shoes. Just make sure to get it in there - warm it up if your conditioner is a stiff paste, etc. Don't have a product like this in your home? You should get boots or shoes that need it! I have used a number of different products over the years, all of which are pretty good, but lately I've been using one called Cobbler's Choice. It's a liquid that's easy to use and it.... works. (If you are using it on boots, you might also want to use a more waxy product on top... but this thing is not boots and it doesn't matter.)

Nicely made, fits my Corona Classic pruner and my weed digger fine! I was looking for something to hold both, as I was always leaving my 12" long weed digger behind as I went around my yard. This holds them both, but be careful squatting or sitting down with the weed digger in it!! The arm and tip of digger hang down about mid thigh!!!!

Very nice the leather is stiff enough to allow insertion and removal of pruners easy with enough tension to not worry about them slipping out easily. I like the fact that there are two options of mounting, threading a belt through or clipping on your pants.
