I own a Nvidia Shield and wanted a controller that would work for my current set up. I flashed a custom ROM and needed a product that could handle my entertainment center, plus all the functions of my Android TV. I also used an App called Multilanguage Keymap Redefiner to fix some of the buttons not functioning from some remotes, as well as add functionality to existing ones.So the Shield remote and controller are both junk for my uses and leave a lot to be desired. I tried about 5 other "best" Android remotes including: a MeLe F10 Deluxe, Rii K13, and various Chinese Air Mouse knockoffs/brands. I really tried to like the F10 because it had a great IR learning feature set. The problem is that remote is chunkier than a brick and the keyboard placement & buttons are mushier than an old wet sponge!The other remotes had their own set of problems from a tiny IR led all the way up to button learning anomalies. Literally you would either get stuck scrolling, or button mashing to the point of throwing one of these things at the wall out of pure rage.I grabbed this remote as a last ditch effort before looking at more expensive brands, and all I can say is wow! Not only does it come in a simple box, but they also include properly written instructions that don't fold out like some origami design. The instructions are NOT in broken English which is an obvious plus, and the wrap around the controller that peels off keeps the scratches and dust off of it while shipping. The colors actually make sense on this remote, and it fits nicely with the living room environment.The price is unbeatable compared to say a $50 remote? The coffin shape feels nice in the hands and actually has just enough weight to it. It has two modes of operation: 2.4ghz wireless using the supplied dongle, and IR mode which controls your equipment. To switch modes you hold the Menu Key+OK Key for a split second, and to learn a button on another remote you hold them down for about 4 seconds. As long as you can memorize what the programmed buttons do, it is very simple to use!The distance for operation is very far between 10-30ft without clear line of sight in my tests, and has no problem learning IR from any remote I have tried so far. Previous remotes had a very hit or miss learning function, this one actually learns EVERY button. It has a built in battery using a micro-USB port for charging, and a tiny reset hole at the bottom. The Air Mouse mode has hardware DPI settings! The keyboard is one of the best feeling and the easiest for typing! No more looking up to see if your characters actually type the whole word anymore. The navigation wheel on the front has a very soft rubber and full tactile feel, simply one of the best to touch. If they could improve anything else about this remote I would say to add more keys to the front, cover it in soft rubber coating for less fingerprints and add a backlight to the keyboard for night use.These remotes make a great gift for those frustrated users trying to type on their Blu-Ray players, or smart TV's as well.

could have been a 5 star easy, howeer the airmouse has a major flaw, when you select something grab the mouse freezes for 1 second and once you flick down or up the mouse stays in place and that gets very frustrating. also the mouse movement feels very unnatural as if its trying to make its.own decision where it wants to point at. what a shame. could have been a perfect remote .you get what you pay for with this one

This one is one of my favorite remotes I bought out of total 4 brands.Been only using it for a month without ANY issues at all :)Has a nice feel, quality buttons, very light and thin. Decent button spacing on the back, alomost perfect amount of buttons NEEDED on the front...Only complaint (Why I gave 4/5) is that unlike some of the other remotes, it would've been better ONLY according to my WIFE if it had the basic (Stop, Play, Forward & rewind Buttons) :)

Used for android box. Great remote and love the small nature of the remote and full keyboard. Air mouse takes a little getting used to but I've used lynec for a year already. This version is better than the first one I had.

It releases my hands from the keyboard by controling it easily with my little fingers. clicking on it just like what you did by with mini keyboard and different feelings of controling your laptop. I like it a lot.

Worked for about a week then it will only let me use the keyboard side. Wast of money.
