NOT WATERPROOF!
We purchased for our 3 year old son’s bed. He wears a pull up at night and sometimes it leaks a little. Even that small amount it leaks, will soak the sheet AND this mattress protector. When I lift the protector his mattress is wet below. I’m incredibly annoyed as his mattress is brand new. This has happened multiple times, and now we layer several different waterproof pads on top of it. We even had a vomiting episode and this cover helped zero. Don’t waste your money!

Doesn't Work! My Mattress is ruined!!!
I was initially very impressed with this product. I really thought that it would do it's job while being more comfortable than the usual waterproof covers. Especially with so many great reviews! I was wrong. My young son crawled into our bed one night and I woke up to that dreaded warm, wet feeling. We immediately stripped the bed, but it was too late. My $2000 icomfort mattress was wet down to the foam. I spent the next day researching ways to clean memory foam mattresses. I was able to wash the outer cover and neutralize/clean the foam with a vinegar solution but the foam is permanently stained. Don't waste your money... or your mattress...

Not waterproof :(
Not waterproof. We've had these for several months now and use them whenever a child is potty training or sick (stomach bugs), which isn't often but it's nice to have something that claims to prevent a wet mattress. These DO NOT work. So disappointed. In the thick of dealing with surprise illness and children throwing up in the night, I keep forgetting to throw these away and find something that works. I guess if you want a cheap pad (though not PADDED) this is your thing. Can't imagine why anyone would want these though.

This cover is not waterproof whatsoever!
The feel of this mattress cover is fine. Doesn't feel hot, isn't noisy and is deep enough for our mattress. The only problem is, it is NOT waterproof! We got our infant son dressed on the bed right after a bath and before we could get his diaper on, he peed. It got through the sheets and onto the cover. I wasn't worried about it since this was SUPPOSED to be waterproof and instead just continued getting him ready for bed. Once I got back in, I realized the pee had completely soaked through the mattress. This cover did literally NOTHING to stop ANY moisture. It feels like some kind of plastic on the back, but it doesn't matter...it doesn't do anything. It seems like completely false advertising.

LOVE IT but watch out when drying!
I love it -- reason why later. Only reason not 5 stars is that you need to watch it when you dry it.I put it in the dryer at the LOWEST heat setting (BELOW gentle/knits). When I took it out, the plastic side was stuck together in one small place. I pulled it apart without damage. But if this happened at the very lowest setting, it is much more likely to happen if you leave the setting on Gentle/knits. I think I will try to take it out when it is still a little damp and then spread it loosely over the bed with pillows under until it is fully dry.Now the reason I love it: I often eat/drink propped up in bed. I was drinking a cranberry/pomegranate/berry drink and spilled it! It went right through the sheet but this protector saved the mattress. The spill was about 8 in wide, so you can guess how much liquid it had to hold. I used Oxy-clean spray and washed it -- no stain.

Good deal.
This was bought to protect our big dog pillows from the new puppy. It isn’t like the ones we have on our bed which are name brand and were much more exspensive. With that said it is holding up to being washed at least once a week. And two 100lb Boxers and a 50lb one haven’t ripped it to shreds or poked holes in it yet so it is holding its own. It washes as nice as the other ones so no problems there. You just need to make sure you dry it with something. Sheets or towels so that you don’t ruin it. The only diffference I don’t like is that the terry cloth type material may not be comfortable to some people? I have laid on it and it’s ok.

You never know when you'll need it!
This thing was a life saver! We had a female cat that ( for some cat reason) decided to pee on our bed. It took a couple times of it happening before i bought this. It's soooo much easier to take this off the bed and theow it in the wash than it is to try and clean that smell out of a mattress. It fits our queen easily and doesnt have that "crinkly" sound everyone hates. The cat is done with her dramatic incidents, but this will remain on the bed.

Cheap yet good quality
I bought this for myself because I like to keep my mattress looking and smelling good. I have to admit, I imagined the quality of this mattress protector was poor because it costs half the price of a well-known name brand one I already had on my bed. I was in a pinch and needed a new protector pronto since the one I had, now has huge holes and had worn out rapidly. So, I saw good reviews and took the plunge...ProsIt doesn't feel or sound like I have a protector on the mattress protector. My old protector made a crinkly sound when moving around and felt like I was a kid, which is a turnoff but I dealt with it. This new protector doesn't feel like I'm laying on a plastic sheet. It is easy to remove. My previous protector was the type that entirely covers the top and bottom of the mattress, it entirely isolated the mattress. It was a real challenge to put it on, which is why I never wanted to wash it. This one is very easy to remove as it's like putting on another sheet. I haven't had to wash it yet, so I don't know how it holds up.It can accomodate taller mattresses, i.e. Eurotops, Pillowtops. My mattress is a pillowtop and this protector still appeared to have more room in case you've got a really tall mattress.Protects against spills well. This is the primary reason I bought a protector for my mattress. I tested it the first day by pouring a cup of water on the protector on my mattress and it saved the mattress. I haven't had any other spills, but I feel confident relying on it.ConsIt doesn't cover the bottom and has minimal side protection. If you're looking for something that you can use when moving, then this isn't it. I think the design is suitable for most people for day-to-day use.Durability unknown. I haven't washed this yet nor had it much more than a month, so I don't know how long it should hold up. I will say that it still looks brand new to me.
