Great headlamp, feels durable, and an awesome price!
The battery compartment is difficult to open, but it also seems very secure. I opened it easier by pressing on on the side things inward and pulling that side partially off first and then the other side just came off, but it did take a little bit of effort. I took this camping last weekend and the red mode worked well for me for keeping my night adjusted eyes, and the bright mode was very helpful while setting up camp since I started just when it was starting to get dark outside.I'm also an electrician, and I can see this coming in quite handy while working and I appreciate that it's standard battery powered rather than rechargeable so I can just replace the batteries and continue about my business without waiting for it to charge up.The headband with the top strap is also very appreciated! This realllly helps the headlamp stay on, I don't like the ones that only have the single strap, they always fall off of my head when I'm using them.

"Buddy Blinder" is an appropriate name!
Woo, that first setting will blind your buddy, that's for sure! We just took our new headlamps camping and these little guys did not disappoint! We used them for hours and they were very bright. First setting is the really bright one, the next is a dimmer white light, then a solid red, and lastly a blinking red. Quality headlamp! It's a shame the company is going out of business because these headlamps are really well made!

let the sunshine
These little lights of mine, im ganna let them shine. These are absolutely amazing headlamps. I purchased 4 of these for my husband, our 2 sons and myself for our hiking and camping trips. They are bright enough to see what is in front of you and also the people around you. Love them. The back is hard to open to put in batteries

So good, I'm buying 3 more!
Wow! Now, I was on the fence about how good this affordable headlight would cost but, wow! This headlight or head lamp, depends on what you prefer to call it, does an amazing job. So easy to adjust, takes 3 AAA batteries and comes in frustration-free packaging. I'm very impressed!

Battery case difficult to open.
Fits well. The light in the front is not so heavy that it pulls down. Not too much light with the 10 lumen low white. Maybe my hands are too small or too weak, but it was nearly impossible to open the battery case and to insert the batteries. I almost gave up and sent the headlamp back. But I persevered!

Nice, but battery access is annoying
Poor design to access the battery compartment, I like that there are no screws (it's just a squeeze-and-snap thing) but the ridges they give you to use for pulling it open aren't quite big enough so it's difficult to open. Would have given 5 stars if not for that.

Battery installation not the easiest.
The lamp itself works as advertised. As noted by others the battery installation process was a bit of a pain. Other than that I am satisfied with the function.

blinking red lights
It's OK for the money but too many blinking lights
