A must have for recording anything
I love this mic. I've been using it for years to do voice overs, streams, record audio books, and even on virtual work meetings. Highly recommend!

An excellent microphone
IU love this microphone. I was upgrading my home studio for my podcast and voice over work and this mike made a substantial change for the better. I had a highly rated mike, but the Rode cut out virtually all of the background noise. Very focused and east to swivel to the proper location. For the price it is a terrific buy. I'd recommend it to anyone who has a home studio.

Great Microphone, Lackluster Headphones
As a disclaimer: I'm not a professional nor an expert, just a casual that records stuff occasionally for fun as a hobby:Pros:(1) Solid microphone that connects via USB. Definite improvement over my last discount microphone. Reviews on other sites gave a fair picture of the quality of this microphone.(2) Great mic holder. The mic connects to the holder via built-in magnets, so no needs for screws or clamps. The base is also fairly magnetic as well -- which works great to keep it steady as I have a metal desk. Can't confirm on how easily the built-in magnetic connections would work with the many arm stands out there. It's great for me, but may not be for you depending on your situation & setup.(3) Headphones can plug directly into the microphone, with a button on the mic as to if you want to listen to yourself live recording or not. Can still work as regular headphones to listen to music and such while plugged into the mic, but can also just plug into your regular audio jack on your computer if you don't want to plug into the mic.Cons:(1) The microphone is bidirectional, so it easily picks up just about everything behind the mic as well -- including your computer running. Record in a quiet place or turn down the volume on the knob on the front of the microphone -- or you will have quite a bit of background noise to edit out later.(2) The volume knob for both the headphones and the microphone is the same knob on the mic -- not a deal-breaker for me for a discount mic, but something to keep in mind.(3) With how good this mic is, the headphones aren't at the same level of quality (I've gotten $20 headphones better than these). I'm only satisfied with them personally because I felt the mic would be worth the price as listed -- with the headphones as just an added bonus. The headphones for me personally brings this down to a 4/5 overall; if you are just buying this for the mic-only, it's a 5/5 value for me.
