I bought this for my 6 yr old daughter. We shopped online together and this was the set she picked above all others. She loved the designs of the little animals. When the package arrived it was in a nice box that could def be given as a gift. Each animal’s materials was individually packaged inside the box so you don’t have to figure out what pieces to use. It’s very well organized. Each animal has its own directions. The directions are not too detailed so an adult’s help is required. We have made several of the animals so far and each one is adorable and unique. I will say my daughter needed help with assembly. Also, I wish the manufacturer provided different needles. They are very tiny and have a pointy tip. I assumed all needles needed to be like that, but in another set we were provided a larger needle with a ball tip that works excellent on this set as well. Other than the very tiny needles, this set is top notch. The materials are good quality and the animals turn out very cute.

I was searching for simple craft sewing kits to work with non-English speaking children age 8-12 and these were colorful, cute and looked to be perfect. I ordered two kits and after opening, noticed there was a quality difference between the two boxes on a quarter of the product.Each package comes with only 1 set of instructions describing/showing how each stitch is made. Each animal has an individual sheet which shows the finished animal and all pieces needed to complete animal on one side and on the back are instructions/drawings. This is on a piece of paper about the size of an adults hand so it can’t be very detailed- hence it leaves room for lots of questions, even from adults.Each animal has pieces individually packaged and clearly marked, however, the thread and stuffing were not and had to be divided up among the 12 projects. The needles were tiny, but were plastic as described.As mentioned above, about 1/4 of the animals in one package had defects that we managed to work around (like some holes were elongated, some holes were simply missing, some holes were on the end of the felt so they couldn’t be used, some holes didn’t line up at all- not even provided it would be stuffed and needed some give to it) and some other, easier things like the Zebra had holes but they weren’t popped out so it looked like they were missing. Interesting, many animals get eyes and some a nose but the Zebra only had it printed.There was plenty of thread to use, the hearts to add a name and who made it were a big hit.I liked the variety, however since each was different, doing this as a group was also difficult because most began with different steps.I would recommend, however, I think the price was a bit high for the quality.

Great starter kit to teach your children to sew.

I ordered this set for my daughter. She had asked for some of these sewing sets. She was so happy when she received these. She squealed about how cute the little animals were. She had no previous experience sewing things like this. The directions were very simple and easy to understand. She has already made a few of them and is really happy with the set. I would definitely recommend this product for kids or adults interested in crafting cute little animals. She really enjoys making these and even giving some of her creations as gifts to her friends. We are both very happy with this product and definitely recommend to others.

My daughter asked for some sewing kits like these. I ordered this for her. She was very happy to get these. She had no previous experience with things like this but the directions were easy to understand. She quickly made several of the little characters and is very happy with the kit. She loves making them and then displaying them in her room. She has even given some as gifts to her friends. We are very happy with this product and definitely recommend to others. It is a very relaxing craft that is good for kids or adults.

The Coola Stuffed Forest Friends Animals Sewing Kit for Kids I'm a fan of!The set shipped well with minimal packaging and no damage. It did not emit any weird smells or chemical-like odors.The kit comes with everything you would need to make 12 animal friends! Items included are; thread, craft eyes, plastic needles, stuffing, self-adhesive parts, small accessories, pre-cut felt pieces and an instructional booklet. Everything you need except a pair of scissors/snips are included.My girls have been doing this set together. The older (13) is teaching the younger ( 5.5 years old). This kit has been so much fun for them to do together. They have had no issues at all crafting the characters! The instructions are easy to follow and the steps to take are simple and uncomplicated.The set is very well made. There are no missing pieces and misaligned cut-outs.This kit I would most certainly recommend. It has helped build both of my children's confidence in sewing. Note there are enough supplies for several children to do these together as an activity.Highly recommended.

This is such a cute little craft kit for beginners interested in sewing/crafting! My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved it and only needed a little assistance getting started, then completed them all on her own. I like that it came with each animal in individual labeled bags, that way you know what your making, and all the pieces are separated and ready to go. The kit also came with all the string and stuffing needed, plastic needles and instructions. Overall the product is great and I would highly recommend!My only complaint would be that my package arrived damaged. It was shipped in a plastic bubble mailer instead of a box, so the product box had been smashed. Smashed packaging would not be ideal for gift giving.
