Main grip is awesome; skip the d-pad and button overlays
I've been very pleased with Talon Grips' other products, so I decided to give their PS4 stick-on grips a try.If you're new to Talon Grips, the installation process might seem tedious. However, it's very important to carefully follow each step! If you do, you'll be rewarded with a durable and attractive grip for your trusty controller. These stick-on grips provide excellent traction for your hands. And because I painstakingly heated up and compressed each part of the stick-on grips, I fully expect they will remain firmly attached to my controller regardless of any future sweat or grease situation. My only criticism is of the small round grip pieces intended to fit around the controller D-pad and top buttons. Neat idea, poor execution. The cutouts are too small, causing the adjacent controller buttons to stick. I peeled them off and couldn't be happier.

Amazing product! Not for the faint of heart to install. My 2nd Talon grip product!
This is my second Talon Grip product. My first being for a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield pistol.I have silicone grips for my PS3 controllers, but after reading many mixed reviews of all of the PS4 options, I was delighted to see that Talon makes gaming grips. INSTANT PURCHASE!Read everything OVER AND OVER, look at the diagrams before heating/peeling stickers. Make sure to clean both your hands and the controller PRIOR to using the included alcohol pads.I did a quick wipe with white vinegar and was amazed at the amount of dirt and grease (use chopsticks to eat Doritos and Cheetos, kids).DO NOT PEEL ALL THE STICKER AREAS AT ONCE! There are reasons for it to be segmented!Be EXTREMELY careful using a heat gun or hair dryer, test it from a distance with your forearm (like a baby bottle). You want it JUST hot enough to still be comfortable in order to have wiggle room to push the open V-gaps into each other. Plus you don't want to melt or damage any rubber pads under the buttons or the plastic itself!Have a pick tool or toothpick/paper clip handy to work the edges of the gaps when installing the button and D-pad areas. If the grip runs into the button/pad edges, lightly heat the area until you can finesse it out using the pick and your thumb. Mine seemed to shrink slightly under heat, I was able to flatten it out evenly.Same goes for the main area. DO NOT PEEL ALL THE STICKER AREAS AT ONCE! Do one section at a time and just work it with light heating. Once it cools, it's rock hard and won't go anywhere. If you are dissatisfied, IMMEDIATELY reheat lightly. The more residual heat, the easier the process. You can see in the first picture that I placed the left side grip slightly lower. This was by accident at first, but I realized it's better, as I have a better grip while using the left analogue since the left hand will naturally sink lower. If you are not confident in doing this installation, I highly recommend a friend with experience help. You might be able to find someone at a gun store if they're familiar, just make sure that they realize plastic on a gaming controller is not as forgiving as composite pistol frames.Just remember: instant heat for instant application, residual heat for wiggle room. Always heat LESS than you think you need. You can always heat more, you can't fix a heat-ruined controller.I swear these grips feel like the Same (ray skin) on my katana. No more wiping my hands after a hard battle! I'm off to go fight Mongols in Ghost of Tsushima!!!

Mediocre
I really wanted to like these grips but the controller still gets slippery when your hands starts to sweat. Also the cut outs that go around the buttons should be a little larger, I was having problems with button's sticking after installation.
