I was taken a back that this product didn’t have 5 stars.This is by far my best bento lunch box I have had and I’ve been using it about a month now.I have tried monbento, other conventional bento boxes on Amazon and convenient stores.They all can’t compare. They either became stained, smelled, fell apart, scratched, warped, or just started leaking.This one is by far the prettiest and sturdiest, easiest to clean. I can shove most of the pieces in the washer and the rest I can scrub and soak in the sink easily. No bad smells have erupted, no scratches or breakage.If you are also worried about plastics this is the move!I have to say it’s so worth it for the price!I’ll be buying more from this brand in the future!

I am extremely impressed with the look of this bento box. It is very good quality and I can tell it will last very long. However, there are small details that affected not giving the complete five stars in terms of craftsmanship. For one, the wooden board looks unfinished or as if a small wooden piece was not cut equally and was just shoved and glued in place. Secondly, I do find that the rubber on the lid for the boxes do not seamlessly closed and have to be pushed in and checked multiple times to see if its closed.

This is a very nice little bento box! I am in chemotherapy right now, and this little bento box is so easy to throw into my cooler with my neuropathy stuff so that I can have a little snack after my infusion. It’s such a great idea that has been executed well.It’s also great to pack up and take on a day trip. I like to prepare my food and pack it up in this when I am going to travel today (I am very specific about my food).Black + Blum, in general, make really awesome products. Keep it up!

The box states above the bar code that this NOT microwave safe. I am returning to amazon.This looks like a very nice good size bento and this is a very good high quality brand (that is the only reason its not getting a one star). But if it needs to go into microwave don't get this.(I know. Metal in microwave in normal common sense situation: is DUH it can't go in the microwave. HOWEVER, there are metal products being marketed microwave safe now-a-days. I wanted to test it out to see if it was true.)

The folk was missing from my first order so swapped with Amazon.2nd order - missing again! So contacted B+B directly as seems so wasteful to return/swap again.Still no reply so have unfortunately just returned the 2nd order too.
