This gate accomplished what we needed. We have a narrow doorway in our camper to the bedroom area that we needed to keep the dogs out of. We had to put it at the top of a few stairs. Pros- easy to open and swings closed on its own. Con- can't take a lot of pressure against it or it would move on the wall. Admittedly, where we have it is a difficult spot and is extra narrow. This was the only gate narrow enough to work for us and because of that it just fit, so we couldn't put a lot of tension out. I would still recommend this and will probably buy a few more for my house. It is very well made and durable.

Wow....nothing but good things to say about this gate!! We use this to keep our puppy downstairs and it works flawlessly. Super easy to open with one hand and it closes itself magnetically. Wish I would've found this when my boys were babies

We ordered two of these gates and neither work as advertised, for different reasons. One self closes but doesn’t latch unless it is jiggled, the other one latches automatically as it should but won’t close itself unless nudged.The screw on the side where the stopper goes to determine which way the gate opens was stripped on arrival on one of the gates. We couldn’t remove it to install the stopper.I would return these and get a different gate if I didn’t need these immediately.Save yourself 40 minutes of struggle while installing by inserting the long end of the connection rods into the gate itself. The widening panels slide onto the short side of the connection rods. This is not clear in the instructions and is the difference between the gates fitting in your doorway or not.Better yet, get a different gate altogether.

I have a 24 in doorway that I needed to block for my tiny chihuahua. It is impossible to find a gate this size in the stores. I was not happy about the cost, but when I received and installed the gate, it made up for the expense. This gate works beautifully, fit well, and is so sturdy. The spindles are placed close enough together that my teacup chihuahua cannot walk through. Would purchase again if I had need for another one.

Only reason why I gave 4-stars is because the plastic red tab that is used for its locking mechanism broke only after 6-months of use. If it was made of metal, I am sure it would have last longer. Other than that, it is a sturdy construction overall.
