fixes dry looking leather. Used it on a navy blue couch. If really dry it might take 2 or 3 applications. Very easy to apply and rub in. NOT oily or greasy. Soaks in quickly and leaves a non-sticky surface even if you don't wipe it down. I've had it on my couch for about a week now, and the "fix" is holding up. Smells good too. I like this stuff.

I originally purchased this product in the 16 oz size over 2 years ago. It has been awesome, easy to use and preserves my car interior very well. Recently we purchased a leather couch and have been using the conditioner with great results. It hides/removes scratches from the pets when they climb up on the couch and scratch it with their claws. However, because we are using much more of this product, I decided to purchase a gallon size. Unfortunately, what we received was a much more liquid version. The original 16oz product was very thick. If you removed the cap and turned the bottle upside down, the product would not run out unless you squeezed the bottle. With the gallon version I recently purchased, the conditioner flows out like a thick pea soup. I suspect the conditioner is made of the same formula and smells the same but that it has been cut with a little water or other liquid chemical to allow the gallon jug to fill up with a less concentrated version of the product. To be honest, perhaps this is how all the product is distributed nationwide since we have been having inflation. Or perhaps a retail store purchase from Walmart, etc would have a thicker version/concentration? I don't know since I didn't buy one. But doing a side by side comparison of my product from 2 years ago and the current product, there is a very big difference in the viscosity. I refilled my application bottle using a funnel and pouring from the gallon jug into the bottle. I could have never done this with the first version of the product I purchased 2 years ago. Perhaps this is how the manufacturer is keeping a price increase down by diluting the current formula before packaging? Or is it this specific supplier on Amazon . . . I don't know? Just be aware that this product is a less concentrated version of the product I purchased 2 years ago. Who is to blame I have no idea.

Personal preference, but I just love the way this smells. Makes my Recaro leather seats not only look like new, but smells like new. Yes it is thick, almost like a cream, but the leather just soaks this up after you clean the leather with a leather cleaner first. Some people comment it leaves a greasy finish, and I agree it does not dry completely rather leaves a shine to it. Yes the seats are slick after application. Depending on what I am wearing, you slide around a bit in leather car seats after. Lastly I also agree this temporarily makes light scratches in the leather appear to dissappear. My seats do have wear to the leather, this seems to clean them up for a while where you can't see the wear marks in them. Seems to go away after a week or so. The smell to me seems just like a new leather jacket or shoes and I just love it. Makes the whole car smell like new. I could see why some people could be turned off by that, but again, personal preference. I have been using this for years on leather seats in the car, on leather shoes that were old and worn, it always brings them back to looking and smelling new.

So I've been using different Chemical Guys chemicals for years and once again I'm not surprised at this ones results. First day and time using the leather conditioner and man when I tell you it's truly awesome it really works. It was a cool and breezy day and it still dried fast like almost as soon as I put it on. No buffering or shinning it just put it on and go. And if your like me and want that gloss shine just put on for a few days and it will stay the same but please make sure to follow the instructions.

I used it right away in my car, and the difference is instantly noticeable. The seats are shining and look brand new. I recommend not rubbing too much, but rather using it consistently and then letting it dry, which is practically immediate, and you'll see the results. The smell is a bit chemical; I was expecting more of a leather or interior scent, but overall, it gave me the results I expected.
