Single Ham Bone

BEWARE.... This bone will cost you more then what your paying. I gave this bone on to my Dog on thanksgiving. The next day he had been try to go to the bathroom for 20 minutes he strained so hard he threw up. decided to give it one more day to see if he would go to the bathroom nothing. took him to the vet His rectum had been filed with bone. It had formed like concrete. had to put him under Anastasia to get it all out. lucky it didn't scar or block up any farther otherwise they would have had to operate. This Company should put some sort of warning on the package about soft bones and how dangerous it can be for the dog. This had cost me 702.00 to get my dog back to normal. I had didn't no soft bones could do this to a dog i learned a very expensive lesson. do not do what i did and learn from me. Trust me this is my 1st written review onAmazon and iv'e been shopping here for years. be careful and ask your vet.

Item actually says on the back... "NOT recommended for large dogs or aggressive chewers." VERY true! Since this bone is cooked, it will splinter if cracked into. My dog LOVED it and wouldn't put it down for hours.Large (especially adult) dogs won't have much trouble with a bone such as this and will crack it almost instantly, creating dangerous bone shards that can be swallowed and cut into the dogs system or stepped on and cut into feet etc.It is a heavy, tough bone that I didn't think my dog could crack into, but he did. He is an 8 month old, 60 lb. Lab puppy. He was able to crack it given enough time, but it lasted quite a few hours before he did so, then I removed it.I'd recommend for smaller to medium sized dogs. Larger dogs or even medium dogs with powerful jaws (such as pit bulls) will make mincemeat of the bone too quickly.

The bone was kept in the fridge and was so soft that it got eaten far faster than a bone of its size looked like it would take. (About 20 mins for our pitbull) We got this bone because it looks big and solid so this was disappointing. That being said, the dog LOVED the bone and enjoyed its flavor.

This bone lasted 3 days and this is our second time ordering it on AMazon.com. She likes it and it lasts a little longer each time,but she still chews it.

Got this for a friend's American Eskimo for his birthday! The bone performed as expected and luckily lasted several days.

My picky dog liked these.

Very oily to start, could only let the dog have a few licks a day until the grease was licked off in moderation (the first day it still gave him the runs and he didn't have it very long before I thought twice about how much grease there was and took it away). After that the bone is fine but even my 1 year old BC can wear this thing out pretty quick. I was hoping it was even longer lasting but my expectation is built on a bone my friend had that I've never found quite like it. All in all this is a very good deal and dog will love it.
