The first thing to figure out is also the easiest thing to figure out, and that’s what size duvet cover you need. Luckily bed/sheet/duvet sizing is pretty standardized. Match your bed size to your sheet size and voila, you know what size duvet cover you need. The next thing to consider is how your duvet cover opens, and how easy it will be to put your comforter back inside it. If you sleep with a top sheet, you won’t have to wash your duvet cover as often as those who sleep euro-style, or without a top sheet. But whichever your bed-making preference, you’ll still have to wash your duvet cover (regularly), and choosing a cover that’s easy to fit a comforter inside is a plus. Zippers and snaps tend to be the easiest closures to work with, while buttons tend to be more of a struggle. Choosing a material for your duvet cover is also important. However, if you have warm enough blankets and a warm enough comforter, your duvet cover material isn’t a make or break (unless you live somewhere really, really cold). Still, it can be fun to swap out your duvet covers with the seasons, even if the material isn’t changing and just the colors are… which brings us to the next point… The most fun part about picking your duvet cover is picking well, all of the above! Your bed is the focal point of your room and as a result, getting a new duvet cover becomes the new foundation piece for your room design. Light colors are always appreciated because they make the room look and feel a lot bigger. However, light colors also show more dirt and stains. If you’re thinking right now that you don’t get in your bed dirty, think about the damage that a smudge of mascara can do to your pillow. With that in mind, a dark duvet cover may be the better option for your lifestyle. If you’re torn between light and dark-colored duvet covers, get both and swap them out seasonally.

Disappointing
Arrived quickly, but I’m disappointed. I read the reviews nd thought this to be a good buy. However the material is coarse, not at all soft enough to enjoy a comfortable night. Sorry no wouldn’t recommend.

Awful hospital scrubs colour!
The picture in the image is a bright royal blue. Looks perfect for my sons bedroom. In reality it is a cold clinical hospital blue. Looks like something you'd only see in a care home, and it's thin and rough. Unfortunately I can't return it because the first thing I did when it arrived was wash it to see if it would soften. Oh well, good spare set for elderly visiting relatives?

HONEST BASICS
It is a practical - economy based - double duvet cover set that does what is required of it. The price reflects this standard without trying to convey anything else. I've awarded this item 5 stars for being what it is - honest to goodness value. It is well made and has stud/poppers to keep a duvet enveloped within it well enough. I cannot stand fussy frills and repulsively samey patterns on bed linen that have the tendency to change a bedroom into a hazard zone of overpowering gaudiness. So this plain duvet set couldn't be more suitably relaxing for me - and my eyes.Eamonn

Really bad smell
When I opened the parcel I got a really strong smell of what I can only describe as cat wee. Maybe it was the chemicals but I could still smell it after a wash. Second wash and the smell seems to be gone. Material is rather stiff. Definitely not soft.

Ok
The grey colour is different than shown on the picture, much more light. Like white washing going grey....The texture is quite hard - hopefully it will soften with few more washings.

Pure luxury cotton... bliss
Oh my this is now my favourite duvet cover, we know ya all have one... Anyways the material itself is quite thick not flimsy so the 200 thread count can be believed and really good quality. I had a really good nights rest and need more!

Poor quality.
This is a terrible product, the material is very coarse and the creases are hard to come out, and to make matters worse, the pillow cases are a different shade of blue to the duvet covers, returned.
