A very good thing to have
Happy to have this. Makes a big ops difference. Focuses radiant heat and makes a great wind block to keep the flame from lifting. Super easy to position and install plus I can remove it very easily to put on my heaterโs cover.

This product really works!
Weโve had a patio heater under the roof of our Yardistry gazebo thatโs installed on our deck. Itโs basically an outdoor room with a tv and patio set of furniture. Placement of the heater needs to be near an opening and under a part of the roof that contains no wooden cross supports . Half the heat would exit the structure through the opening. This reflector is a game changer. Since the heat is reflected out little goes through the cap to the roof, and it is actually cool behind the reflector. You can feel the heat over the seating area and for a distance of over 8โ from the couch. We turned the gas to half of what we were using, so I know Iโll be saving propane, and be warmer than we were before. Installation: Instructions were ok, once you see it youโll get it. I did reverse the thumb screws a mounting brackets to the top of the heater disc instead of what was shown in the diagram. Easier access for this 6โ guy. The one improvement I would make would be stainless steel hardware. My magnetic screw bit attracted the screw so Iโm assuming itโs not stainless. Between the aluminum brackets, stainless sheet metal and steel fasteners there will be rust. For pennies more they could have made them stainless. Watching Buffalo play KC in heat under the roof. GO BUFFALO! Great product!!

Directs heat effectively, but increases wind load on the heater
Does what it's supposed to do and noticeably directs more heat toward one side of the patio instead of letting it radiate in all directions. I installed this on a standard standing propane patio heater, and it was a worthwhile improvement for situations where people are sitting on one side of the heater. It definitely helps concentrate the heat where it's needed. The shield is a good size and installation wasn't particularly difficult. Once mounted, it feels reasonably sturdy. My biggest complaint is the mounting hardware. The reflector attaches using thumb screws, and over time I noticed they can loosen as the shield moves slightly in the wind. I ended up periodically checking and retightening them. Another thing to consider is that the reflector creates a much larger surface area for the wind to push against. In my case, the heater actually blew over during windy conditions with the reflector installed. That isn't necessarily the reflector's fault, but it's something buyers should be aware of. Cons: Thumb screws can loosen over time Increases wind load on the heater May make the heater more prone to tipping in windy conditions Bottom line: If your goal is to direct more heat toward a seating area, this works well and makes a noticeable difference. Just keep an eye on the mounting hardware and be aware that it catches considerably more wind than the heater alone.

Perfect
This really directs the heat from my patio heater. I use less gas because I can turn it down

Nice and warm
These shields certainly let you focus the heat generated from the heater. My entertainment area is warmer now

How is it possible?
I ordered 3 different sections and it was all a crapshoot. The first set came without nuts. The second set came with absolutely no hardware. The 3 set finally had the full set of hardware. So now there are some Frankenstein'd parts holding this cover on. Real winning combination. Guess I'm partially to blame for ordering so many and expecting it to be correct.

Flimsy
Very thin material which bends easily

It works on square too
So I took a chance to see if it would work on my square fire pit and it did. If you leave the screws loose before attaching to the deflector, it goes on perfectly. You can then go back after and tighten them up. I thought I would need to use thread lock but I didn't. I wanted to post for those that came here thinking the same as I did.

Try 2 ways of fitting.
On some heater reflectors this might be a better fit if the wing bolts are on top rather than underneath, as with mine when fitted underneath it makes the deflector panels look inwards at the bottom, when fitted on top they hang more vertical. And don't over tighten.
