Oracal 651 - Vinyl adhesive tape for decorating cars, bicycles, boats, etc., with thin stripes, decals...

I went with the Oracal brand as I'd heard of their films before and couldn't find the brands I wanted to try. I have to say I was a little disappointed by quality of the tape, there were several 'hairs' from the cutting of the roll which I had to pull off as I was pinstriping my car. And even as a vinyl, I found that I could easily crease and bend the tape leaving a mark on my pinstripe. So either I pulled what I'd laid down, but the crease out and start over again, or just leave it.The Oracal product did was it promised so I only took off one star. And I'm not too disappointed with the end result. But I didn't think the brand's name lived up to my expectation and performance in the tape.One final note, for the DIY newbies like myself. When you take this very narrow tape out of the package, the roll is perfectly flat, but start pinstriping on a car and you find that roll just completely unravels and you are basically left holding a bunch of loops of pinstriping tape in your hand.If you're a neat freak like me, I highly recommend you build a small cardboard 'guide' to keep the tape flat against with just enough loose to use as you work. That way you can unspool what you need and take your time laying it out, without cutting the length too early and discovering you needed more. It's a little thing, but I wish the roll could hold together like normal tape rolls, but I assume it's the narrowness.

The product arrived on time and it was well packaged.It is easy to use, easy to take off, just be careful when rubbing it to adhere because it frays. I, used my finger because when I tried using a soft cloth, the edges frayed easily.It has been thru one touch free car wash and no issues.It is good do it yourself product for the money.Should there be any issues in the future, I will update.Nov. 05, 2021 update:The pin stripe has been thru car washes, cold temperatures and still is doing just fine. I would recommend this product.

The product I received has excellent adhesive qualities, easy to apply and chosen colour was accurately pictured in sales ad. My one big negative issue with the product is the entire coil of pin stripping has a jagged edge rendering it useless for any project requiring clean edges such as pin stripping a vehicle. No vehicle aficionado would ever use this particular product! I used the product for enhancing the appearance of my Ebike helmet where I'm not concerned with jagged edged pin stripping.

Easy to work with, careful not to stretch while applying as the tape gets narrower when stretched because it is vinyl. I recommend to wipe the surface with rubbing alch and let it dry before applying so the surface is clear of contaminants. Seems to be holding up well, even in the winter time.
