Renate Contemporary Wood-Metal Home Office Table Modern Computer Desk (Grey)

Pros: Solid wood desk, sturdy, heavy, easy to assemble (30 min). Looks better in person than any picture I'm able to take.Cons: Color was a bit darker than shown in the picture, but still looks good. The color looked to be about inbetween the gray and coffee colors as shown. The instructions were 100% useless, but luckily it was easy to figure out. There were supposed to be 3 pages of instructions and I ended up getting the first page for this desk and 1 other page for a completely different product (I think a dining room table?)

Extremely solid construction. Desktop itself has a great deal of respectable weight to it.. Desk comfortably sits at least three human beings, and could probably support four. Wood finish looks extremely nice, but brown than white, like the picture. Setup wan't exactly easy but with a little elbow grease, I was completely done in an hour and a half. Three months in and this is without a doubt the nicest desk I have ever used for work. Dimensions are exactly as the box says, down to the 1/8th of an inch, all around. Overall I am very satisfied with the feel, spaciousness, and look, and would recommend it to anyone looking to really splurge on a new desk they plan to keep around for a very long time.

We purchased our Renate desk, bookshelf, and printer stand through Overstock back in 2014. First I will say that all items are very heavy and use real materials so if you are looking for faux wood or steel this is not the desk for you. Assembly is not extremely easy as the directions are not great, but once assembled the quality is top notch. We have assembled and disassembled this desk and its parings three times with no issues.The only minor deduction is that the desk itself is quite high off the ground, so it does cause my wife issues if she has to sit in the office too long. I personally think it is a great height, but I am 6'9 and she is 5'7. That said, you would want an adjustable chair if you are thinking of purchasing.Currently planning on using two to create an L-shaped corner desk to allow for more workspace.

Beautiful and sturdy. Looks better in person than in photos. Everybody that's seen it has fallen in love.

saw this in a youtube video about the perfect desk. ordered it. assembled it. it is perfect. i took out the shelf on the right and my desktop fits in there which gives it protection, and a hard surface for better air flow

Second desk bought about 3 to 4 years apart. Nice style and quality. Good packaging so no damage during shipping. My one son stole the first desk from his brother when he left for college so we had to replace it before he came home for the holidays.
