So tiny and the insulating sheath is so slippery they were impossible for me to use while sheathed
The clips are very narrow and tiny and the inside of the enclosing plastic sheath is EXTREMELY slippery; so much so that I was unable to use them at all without first sliding them out of the insulation. Every time I tried to squeeze one open without first sliding it out of the sheath, it simply rotated within the sheath instead of opening unless I used both hands; one horizontally to hold the clip steady from the side and the other at 90 degrees to squeeze the clip open. Even at this price, definitely not recommended. As another reviewer said here, I will be throwing all of these away as soon as I find a usable replacement.I've attached a picture of one next to my thumb to provide a scale reference.

DON'T BUY
Very slippery to open clips. The rubber boots are loose, and when you go to squeeze them, your fingers slip off. Try as hard as you may -- YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN THEM! Reminds me of the 1970's Any Granatellie commercial when STP oil treatment was placed on the end of a screwdriver tip -- try as hard as you may, you could never get a grip to lift that screwdriver!! This is the same trying to open these clips!

An exercise in frustration
Very small clips and very slippery insulation covers over the clips make for endless frustration. I try to squeeze the clip to open it and it twists out of my fingers inside the insulation. Completely useless unless you pull off the insulation covers. I threw them away.

Great for use with a Makey Makey
I bought these to use with a Makey Makey for a project that required more that their six standard clips. These worked wonderfully! In fact, the kids and I preferred these over the ones included with the Makey Makey.

The plastic cover rolls too easy and is hard to grip the clip to make open. I have small hands so it is not a matter of too large of fingers for the clips.

Thin wires, flaky clips, good price.
wires very thin, clips barely work. if using for very low power with small wires, and willing to deal with the clips flaky mechanism, good price.

The wires are too thin to carry any useful amount of current
The wires are too thin to carry any useful amount of current. At 2 amp current, it gets quite warm. The voltage drop across a single wire is about 1 full volt! This is certainly not designed to do any decent experiment even with a normal working current. I tried to connect a 12 V circuit to supply a DC-DC converter and the voltage dropped from 12 V to 10 V through an amp meter connected with 2 sets of these alligator wires. The second nasty problem is that I could not open the alligator clip with one hand since the plastic wrap was so slippery. The alligator clip was all most like alive who tried hard to escape from you hand. It could take 5 to 10 attempts to be successful with both hands. I didn't know I should be concentrating on my project or fighting this small live alligator. Removing the alligator plastic wrap may help to grab the gator better, but not helping a lot.Don't bother to try this product. It is not going to help you but to bother you every time you use it.

high resistance - DO NOT BUY!
These clips measure about 1 Ohm, so for current sensitive applications, like in my case driving LEDs at a high current, they don't work very well. The insulation also likes to slip off of the clips. They work well if you need a 1 Ohm resistor.UPDATE: I measured these with an ESR meter and the 4-wire Kelvin method, and pulled measured/calculated 0.79Ohm for a random alligator clip. I disassembled it and noticed the conductor relies on a friction fit with the alligator clip - for this particular clip, the bare copper (if it is copper) strands were just blowing in the wind. I soldered it together and re-measured and it brought it down to 0.57Ohm.Unfortunately these clips are absolutely useless.Attached pictures of the before and after ESR measurements.

Slippery!
When you squeeze the clips, the rubber on the inside that is pressing against the metal clip is incredibly slippery! It's VERY difficult to squeeze them together in order to open. What doesn't help is that the clips are small, so there's a balancing act between slipping on the metal/being able to press the clips together. It's kind of silly that this is a factor.Don't buy these unless you're a patient person.

Slippery and poor quality control
These clips need better quality control, the clips seem to pop off the wires easier than most, and are quite slippery inside making them hard to open and the boot works itself off the clip while opening, which is quite frustrating. The gauge of wire is also quite thin.

Poor quality. Very difficult to work with as the clips slip around inside the covers and the spring inside is too strong. I was tempted to keep them and fix them myself but it would have taken a lot of work.
