I assumed this came with a hammer, but that's my fault for not paying attention to detail. Nevertheless, still a good bargain. Happy with purchase.

Looks like a great piece but it came in so dirty I need to try and clean it before I can try and use it for any jewelry making...

The entire package was covered in some sort of grease from the inside and outside. And the steel block was deeply rusted and unusable. I tried to clean it, I thought maybe its only surface rust, but the rust was very deep and took away a big part of the steel.

I purchased item because I need the set and it just included the block. The picture shows hammer as well

I needed this to work on smaller wire wrap jewelry projects. This is the perfect size to use at my small desk.

Has quite a strong odour, but very good quality.

Sure, it's a little rubbery smelling, but I left it outside for a few days on the porch and it's not too bad. It does exactly what I wanted it for, to deaden the noise of hammering on a steel block and to be able to hammer on the reverse side of my pieces.

It’s exactly what I ordered. Delivery was fast, it was packaged great. Docked a star for the strong odour, I hope it goes away sooner then later.

I ordered this because I wanted the metal part. I didn't think I'd use the rubber one because it wouldn't be strong enough to hammer things out. It wasn't until I received them that I realized you use them both so that the reverberations don't shake the whole house down. Who knew?
