Ok, I've got to say something. We only have one dog now. She weighs just a little under 20 lbs. These pads work fine for her. We set up six pads in the back bathroom. Overlap them. Yes, sometimes at the borders of the pad, wetness gets through. The majority of the time, it doesn't. Sometimes you are disappointed. That's just called life.We find them to be extremely absorbent. As for the smell, that is very, very recent. When we first started using these, they had a little bit of sticky stuff on the back and no smell at all. Now, the sticky stuff is gone. We really need that, but they took it away. Apparently they think too many people are bitchin' about a smell, so they loaded it up with a different smell! And it is strong! Now what the hell is that? I would love to be able to go in and clean up and NOT worry about breaking my neck. We NEED the sticky stuff. Apparently no one wants more perfume. Get it, So Phresh? Read your reviews. Until we can find something better, we will be using these. If this company would put back the sticky stuff, these would be perfect. But our dog has no problem with these pads, and I guess that's what really matters.

Wish it absorbed better. Urine seeps through, dampening the floor.

Has an overwhelming amount of synthetic fragrance that is worse than urine. Synthetic fragrances have thousands of chemicals, many of them known neurotoxins. Cheap fragrances are the worse for this. You get several lungfuls every time you have to shake one open and it fills the whole room until they are out of the house. Why no unscented choice? And BTW you’re also breathing phthalates from the plastic, one of the major causes of reduced sperm count in men which on average is half what their grandfathers were. But needs must right? They are effective pads but newspaper might be a better choice.
