So nice. Made well & looks great on our new home!

We painted the outside of our home SW Iron Ore and I wanted new "Jewelry" for the exterior as well. I love pineapples and was so happy to find this doorbell!It is heavy and made very well and the button lights up in a light orange color at night! It look fabulous and am so glad I purchased it!

Easy to install and seems to have good quality

This is a beautiful doorbell! I love it! But I took a star off because this was a bigger project than it should have been.It should take 5 minutes to install a doorbell. It’s very simple. However, most doorbells are made to “stick out” a bit because they have a small hollow space underneath them—that is to provide room for the tiny doorbell wires to fit underneath and be connected to the doorbell. Not so with this one. This one has a nickel-sized area that protrudes from the back of the doorbell about 5/8” or so, which must be recessed into the door jam/side of house or into a mounting plate. This doorbell should either come with a perfectly-sized mounting plate, or they should offer it as an option to purchase. Since it does not come with that, and I did not want to drill a nickel-sized hole into the concrete stucco of my house (where the doorbell goes), this created an extra project to build a mounting plate. I used a scrap piece of wood 3/4” thick and scrap molding to make a mounting plate, and drilled the nickle-sized hole in that, so that the back of the doorbell where the wires are attached could be recessed into that mounting plate. Also, the screw holes in this doorbell do not line up with those of my old doorbell (which are pretty standard spaced), so the mounting plate also solved that problem. I screwed the mounting plate into the old screw holes in the house concrete, and I screwed the doorbell into the wood mounting plate.During the Amazon purchase process, Amazon shows this doorbell being purchased together with a regular light toggle switch plate cover. However, that would NOT work for this doorbell, because there are no toggle switch plate covers deep enough to accommodate the depth of the back of this doorknob where you have to connect the wires. I went to my local home improvement store to look for other options, but there were zero switch plate covers that would have worked.All in all, it is a beautiful doorbell and functions perfectly. I also like that the button is lighted. The mounting plate project had a nice bonus that I painted it to match the front door and I think the doorbell look even nicer than it would on its own.I wanted you to be aware that you likely will not be able to simply remove your old doorbell and replace it with this one, without either drilling a hole in your door jam/house to accommodate the wire connection protrusion in the back of this doorbell, or else make a mounting plate that is deep enough for that.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. My wife loves us

This a very sturdy and great looking doorbell. Because the button mechanism extends beyond the face, I had to build a decorative frame so I could mount it to the stucco exterior of my house. No big deal for me, but someone without tools might find this to be a big issue.

Wanted a different doorbell as the one installed was plastic and started to crack. Since we are from Hawaii, the pineapple means Welcome. Install was a little more involved than just removing and attaching wires. Old switch was surface mounted so had to drill out a hole to mount the new switch. Once done, looked great. The lighted feature looks and helps at night. Overall, satisfied with purchase.

I actually modified mine to connect to a wirless doorbell chime sender. I had to disconnect the backlighting bulb as it prevented it from working. Works great.
