Works as expected
Love the directionality control - great for enhancing sound, lowering noise, during videos with “loud” lighting cooling fans

Great VO entry mic
I bought this mic as I am entering the voiceover world. It was a decision between a booth or a mic that works in open space and this mic is perfect.

Great Mic, wrong shock mount to fit it.
The Sennheiser MKE 600 microphone is fantastic. Great sound quality and quite sensitive. This AT8415 shock mount is made for a larger diameter microphone, and doesn't fit the Sennheiser MKE 600. This mic basically slips right out unless you keep it right at 90 degrees to the ground.

Entry level mic of a great brand is a good value
Sennheiser shotgun mics normally cost 3 times the price of this entry level model. But the quality seems quite good and the versatility of the mic having its own power source is perfect for my particular application with a DSLR. I also own the classic 416, but without phantom power, I'd have to spend even more money to power the mic properly. So, after years of using a Sony Electret, I invested in the 600 and so far, so good. Having a bass rolloff option is also a nice feature. My recommendation with this mic and really all mic that have a battery power source within: don't leave the battery in the mic for any length of time. Batteries break down and the corrosion can ruin your mic. Trust me, it's happened to me too many times. Take the battery out when you're not using it. You'll increase the lifespan of your equipment immeasurably.

I Love this set
I've had a number of shotgun microphones over the duration of my career but this one is amazing. It's light weight, integrates very easily with my GH5 system with audio adapter (and a few times with my Zoom H4N). It's the cleanest audio I've gathered with a shotgun mic. All I need to do is a little EQing and it sounds like the audience is there. I've been very appreciative because the microphone can either take battery or phantom power. So if you forget batteries like I did once, you can still use the mic. Would deff recommend.

Super mic!
We have a cooking show on YouTube and used a wireless mic on some of our earlier shows and couldn't get the sound right... plus had to wear that head set and body pack. I love the clear sound and we have a lot of folks that said your sound is just great now. If you want to hear what it sounds like just go to "Cooking with Shotgun Red" on YouTube and the last 75 recipes are recorded with this mic over head. 277 recipes and 77,000 subscribers thanks to great equipment like this! I love this mic!

Pefect so far on 3 short film sets
I love this mic. I use it mostly on a boom pole for dialogue, switching frequently from indoors to out. I keep it in a Rode blimp, even indoors, so that I can quickly move the boom around without getting air resistance noise. Add a deadcat for outdoor shots. Solid metal construction, should last for years. Picks up dialogue in its zone quite well, while very noticeably reducing the ambient noises off axis.

Quality Product
Everything arrived earlier than expected. At this point everything seems fine but I have not had a chance to really test things out. Not sure when that will be but so far I am thourghly satisfied.
