works excellent!!
This replacement pad is great cuz you can take the old one off and clean it, I hose the used one off at the car wash with a high pressure hose, well first I put it in a big new black garbage bag and drive to the spray car wash, spray it with high pressure soap then rinse put it in a clean bag and dry it a day or 2 on my front porch in the sun and its like new! Then I rotate them again and again! J also buy a cheap $18 replacement pad each time we travel or stay in a hotel I put regular potty pads down then the grass down and simply change the pads underneath each morning, I just throw these ones away as I don't wanna travel with a dirty one back home but its only $18 very worth it being able to have your dog have a place to potty! Love it, works great!! Does NOT smell if you place potty pads underneath and put new pads down every few days and wash the used one one every week spray it down, make sure to completely dry the one you wash cuz it may have a little odor but once its dry its completely like new, no smell!

Great item works perfectly
I have recently gotten a puppy and this item worked great to help potty train him. We put one in the bathroom where he stayed during the day and one in the living room. He took to it very quickly. As expected it has to be cleaned every so often. I wash it in the bathtub both the tray and the grass. After my puppy learned to use it I moved it to the deck because he started to get lazy he would only put his front paws on it which resulted in having to get rubber mats to put around it so he wouldn't pee on the carpet. Overall this is a solid solution for training a puppy. My dog would use it so often I didn't even realize it. I highly recommend this product especially for young puppies.

These are great outside....if you keep them clean.
I've rated these fake grass pads highly because they helped us train our youngest dog to limit her outdoor pottying two two areas on our deck. Our other dogs who were wee-pad trained indoors decided to follow her lead, so these pads DO get used many times daily. I don't recommend them for indoor use because they will start to smell bad quickly and the urine smell will never go away completely, no matter how much you hose them or spray with bleach. But then it's the doggie wee smell that makes the dogs keep coming back, isn't it? Oh....one more thing. WARNING: When you use these pads in trays outside, hose them down AT LEAST every few days during cold weather and EVERY SINGLE DAY in hot weather. I also spray some Dr. Bronner's soap and some bleach on them regularly during the warmer months because if you don't keep these pads clean, all sorts of interesting things will want to live in them and lay their eggs....like flies, flies that look like bees, wasp-like flying insects, and black beetles that look like the ones they're always showing on CSI. I think it has to do with the beehive-like chambers in the plastic tray and the holes punched in the grass pads along with the dog urine which some insects like for its salt. Yes...that was one horrible summer when we learned all this!
