Of course it's not backlit, I had just hoped that the writing would appear in brighter color. It's not that it looks bad, it's just a little hard to read depending on the lighting conditions.I would still recommend this at the price for the purpose intended. Happy with the purchase.

I purchased this product twice actually. The reviews were good so I thought we would give it a try my son loves it! He lost the first one after months of having it and taking it everywhere so I had to buy him a new one he uses it daily. We Love the convenience and mess free writing!

This is the coolest little toy. We bought for our 2yo grandson as a birthday gift and I ended up playing with it the whole night. The colors were very vibrant and it was easy to use, even for him, once we showed him how it worked. Very light weight and all doodles erase completely every time.

This is a fun little tablet for kids. My boys love drawing pictures and showing us their art and it’s so easy for them to just erase it and start over if they aren’t satisfied.
