It's Alright
Pros: great for traveling as my brushes won't get squashed and the bristles mishapen. If your brushes have stray bristles sticking out after washings or has splayed out and isn't as compact or dense as it used to be, the brush guard will really fix these problems. So these are the things that I love about the it.Cons: Some of my brush handles are actually very thick, so I had to use the brush guard meant for powder brushes on my blush brush. One of the blush brush guards actually fit my powder brush. This is included in the instructions, but I'll mention it as well. Do not put your brushes in this bristles first. You will ruin your brushes. Also, there may be some fraying of the brush guard when you use it the first time. This is normal. I just hope it doesn't fray all the way, as then the product will be useless.Make sure that when you wash your brushes, that you gently squeeze the excess water out and maybe even blot with a towel. Otherwise, your brushes will be dripping wet and take forever to dry. Also, unless you store your brushes upside down, dust will still get on your brushes. If you have the room, just keep them stored upside down so dust doesn't settle on them.I may or may not purchase more, but I'm happy with the variety pack I've already gotten.Update: I've found if the brush gaurd doesn't properly fit a brush and you dry it upside down, it can backslide and make some of your bristles fray. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid when I bought this product. With so many different brushes, it's hard to find a good fit. I guess I'll just lay my brushes flat to dry from now on. This is still good for traveling, but you can always use a brush case as well for traveling. Also, it takes longer than usual to dry my brushes with this product.

Love this for my make up brushes, use all the time not just for traveling.
How it keeps the brush protected & keeps the shape of your brush in tact.

Brushes don't dry all the way with these on, ...
Brushes don't dry all the way with these on, which really defeats the purpose of having them on at all.Edit: I read some other reviews that said you have to really squeeze the excess water out of the brushes so I tried that and it was a little more dry but still not completely dry. Works a little better, though I worry about pulling out the brush bristles when squeezing out the water too hard. The brush guard did help a tremendous amount when cleaning my Bare Escentuals foundation brush (Perfecting Face Brush). Due to the reservoir in the center of the brush, I could never get it completely clean because the makeup really gets deep inside of the center. But when I got the brush guard, I washed it really well with soap and coconut oil, dried them bristle side down with the brush guard and found that the makeup was running down out of the center onto the ends of the brush due to gravity. Had to wash it a couple more times to get all the makeup out but I wouldn't have figured it out without the brush guard. So I guess it's not completely worthless. :)

CAUSED the Damage to My Brush's Bristles that it Was Supposed to Guard Against!
I *really* wanted to like these...they seem like a great idea, and maybe they do work as expected if you are just putting them on your brush and then putting your brush in a holder near your makeup, or something like that. But for travel, or in your makeup bag in your purse, where they may get jostled a bit? Not so much. The whole reason I ordered these was to protect my eyeshadow brush in my makeup bag in my purse. The very first time I pulled it out I looked and tons of bristles were sticking out *through the brush guard* (and no, I didn't put it on wrong, I put it on from the handle end and then slid it carefully up over the bristles). The brush was basically ruined because the bristles were sticking out all-which-way - exactly what I *thought* I was protecting *against* by using the brush guard! Instead of protecting against it, it *caused* it! :-(By the way, do not, Not, NOT try to expand the tip of the brush guard by sticking your finger in there. Remember Chinese finger traps? Yeah.

Amazing guards for makeup brushes
They got a 4 star because it took for ever to get these darn things.... Had them shipped to my work address where I receive all my packages ... First off they gave mii an estimated delivery time ..... It never got here ... Contacted them they said they sent another one ..... Still didn't get to mii .... I contacted them again and I have to say their customer reps were very helpful and reassuring thanks (Vivian & Patrice) I don't know what was going wrong btwn them shipping it and the post office getting it to mii...but it never got to mii and the worst part is there was no way to track this packages which sucked major ...... So we tried one more time and this time had it mailed to my house and it got there finally !!!!! And I loooooooove then hassle free drying of my make up brushes and they don't loose their shapes ..... Thank you brush guard

The Brush Guard Variety Pack
Excellent product to extend your brushes' longevity. The variety pack was just what I needed. It included 1 large, 2 mediums, 2 smalls, and 1 extra small so there's a perfect size for every brush. What I didn't like was that one of my brushes is, length-wise, a little on the small size; it's hard to slip it through the long guards. I often have the scrunch the guard and inch it along the brush, or stick my fingers through one of the openings to pull the brush through. Either method seems bad for the guard and messes up the meshing a little, but it's the only way to get the brush through. I guess this is a good excuse to buy a new brush though. Also, it comes through USPS in a regular envelope, which I was surprised at, but the packaging protected the guards from damage/possible rough handling.
