Frenchi Home Furnishing Chess Table with Two Drawers

It is a Beautiful piece of furniture. Easy to assemble. The squares are not 2.25# though they are 2". Not a big deal though, I'll just scale my models down to fit properly when I print them.

Lovely table. I am not a handy person at all but it was very easy to put together. I actually bought the same table years ago on another website. I spilled something on it that took off the varnish. I loved the table so much that I looked for it and found it on Amazon for a little less than I originally paid. I would highly recommend this table to others.

To say that you get your money's worth is pale in description when reviewing this table. Everything fitted together like the blocks of stone that built the pyramids of Geza... Need I say more...? I shouldn't have to but I'm so pleased with this table I think I need to.. The wood is a beautiful color and gives the table a look of elegance. If you didn't buy a set of pieces that only could have been hand carved you would be doing this table a true injustices as well as yourself, because you will be kicking yourself for not doing so... I promise you, you will be very pleased when you unpack and assemble this table together for yourself or as a gift for someone you love...!

The table is very nice and displays well and is overall solid. That being said, the QA from the manufacturer is shotty at best. I had to order two tables to make everything right. Thanks to Amazon's return policy that process was painless, Just inconvenient. The first table I received had the board painted on wrong and neither table had pilot holes drilled. Looking through the other reviews it appears other people have had the same issues as me. It's very easy to square up by eye and just drill the necessary pieces together. After everything said was done and the table was as is should be. Its great! I went with a decent set of chess men from house of chess with 4" kings and it looks great. Actually it's a bit to nice. Considering just how terrible I am at chess I should probably own a paper board and plastic pieces. 4 stars because for the price I paid and after the hassle of having to order a 2nd table hoping to get a proper board it really is a nice table. to bad they're just hit and miss.

Very cool and good material

first off this is not a $500 chess table. don't expect oak wood and craftsmanship painting. it actually looks really nice for being made in china. it was super easy to put together. all you need is a Philips head screwdriver. they supply an allen wrench. the drawers have a satisfying wood on wood drag to them when you move them. they are deep enough to hold a 1 7/8" diameter (max, I measured) chess piece on it's side. plenty tall enough. I would highly suggest getting a chess set with a king 3 1/2" - 3 3/4". the squares are 2 inch. I purchased a set that was 3.6" and I couldn't be happier. house of chess sells a rosewood and boxwood set for a decent price on their website. amazing detail by the way. fyi this is a big table. take measurements before you buy.

This was a Christmas gift and one corner of the table was damaged. Could not make contact with Frenchi Furniture. All their contact info was invalid. Had to chat via Amazon which was circular or wait on hold indefinitely. Customer service talking directly to someone is the best. Neither Amazon nor Frenchi Furniture provided such personal service. Oh and Amazon if it's because day after Christmas is incredibly busy, not a surprise, hire adequate personnel to provide and meet the needs of your customers.

Great price. Doubles as a table and chess/ checker board

Mooie schaaktafel met extra groot schaakvlak, elk vakje ca.5x5 cm. Schaakstukken 3,7inch passen er goed bij. Tafel is makkelijk te monteren, en ook belangrijk: was degelijk ingepakt en daardoor schadevrij ontvangen! Eerlijk gezegd had ik wel mijn twijfels na het lezen van de negatieve recensies, maar ik vermoed dat de fabriek ervan heeft geleerd.
