RED HEART Scrubby E833 Yarn, Royal

I’ve knit and crocheted several dishcloths and given them as gifts. People seem to love them.This yarn isn’t for those who are just learning to knit, and not for making garments. However if you know the basics and don’t mind focusing on your project it’s pretty easy to work with. I’ve knit the basic corner to corner dishcloth and they turn out pretty well. You could also knit or crochet it adding cotton yarn, using both strands as one, haven’t tried that yet. It’s not scratchy so this yarn would be good for cleaning non scratch surfaces, it’s not absorbent unless combined with a cotton yarn like the peaches and cream type.All in all it’s a good value, the scrubbies you make with it will last quite a while and they have lots of colors to choose from

I had bought scrubby yarn just to try it out. I wasn't expecting much but I actually like it better than a sponge! It is hard to work with if you're just learning. I was to the point I was ready to give up. But I kept trying & now have made a lot of scrubbies (they make great Christmas or housewarming gifts). Right now I am even in the process of phasing out what sponges I have left. This will save money & is better for the environment. They are 100% polyester & are machine washable. They are very durable & will last a long time. (You can get different colors cheaper at local stores & other sites).I highly recommend this!

I had fun crocheting several kitchen scrubbers with this yarn. I gave it 3 stars for softness because it's NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SOFT, LOL! It really cleans pots and pans and doesn't scratch metal surfaces. Whatever you make with the yarn will be washable and will last a long time. Great for a gift.

Product arrived earlier than expected. The colors were vibrant. I will be ordering from this company again. I’m very satisfied!

If you’re buying scrubby yarn, you need to know it’s not easy to work with. That being said, this yarn was okay to work with (especially for a first time scrubby yarn user). The color was nice and as shown. It has enough scrubby quality to be used on skin for exfoliating but not enough to scrub a pan.

Great scrubbie yarn!!

I've used scrubby yarn for a couple of years now. I crocheted some scrubbys and love using them on non stick pans and they work especially good on my cast iron skillets which I don't use dish soap on. When made up you can't really squeeze the water completely out, you'll need to hang the in the sink for the water to drip out and they dry very quickly. This most recent purchase (blue) I took a suggestion from another review and knitted one...much easier! The crochet ones work fabulous, but I could never be certain I was catching the right stitch on the round ones (didn't seem to mater though because they've lasted). For knitting I cast on 20 using a 4mm needle, then knit stitched back and forth until it looked square, then bound it off. I ended up with a 5"wide by 4 3/4" long scrubby, guess I should have added one or two more rows. Knitting was easier and I could always "catch the right stitch". To clean my scrubbys I simply throw them in the laundry whenever I have a load of towels and dry in the dryer, on occasion they pick up a wad of hair from the towels, but it's easy enough to pull out. I've not used this yarn to make a wash cloth for the shower so I can't speak to that.

Its kind of hard to crochet with this yarn, but it really holds up strong in using it to wash dishes.

It is great for Crocheting straight scrubbers for your iro pot your e crystal in your face and was often one other using three years still looking new

Easy to work with and feels like the appropriate scrubby brush material.It is the softer version of a scrubby but works well alone or with cotton yarn to make it easier to do multiple and many different designs.
