Great book
Good read if you want to know the daily life of a hedge fund trader. I don't envy their life but I respect their work. Sebastien Sirois

This is a must-read if anybody really wants to get a handle on what's going on in financial markets!
I am a former academic economist. I left 34 years ago to ply my trade in Global Financial markets. The slippery slope that the central banks have been following for the past 30 years is mind-blowing.The author here absolutely Nails it. I have recommended this book to some people that I am entering right now and they swear that they hear me saying his words. When people ask me suggestions for reading to try and get a handle on what's going on in the markets I always recommend Kindleberger's Classic but now include this

Really enjoyed it
Really enjoyed this book which is effectively the diary of someone who works at a macro hedge fund during covid. It isn’t particularly heavy it terms of its technical details and there is a good amount of story telling instead of just focussed on the markets elements. This makes it a pretty light-hearted easy read for anyone who has worked in the financial sector - something in between the novels you get in this area and the more heavy going almost autobiographical accounts.

Macro trading
Fascinating info about the world markets and how macro trading works. Interesting how the author often discusses how the marketand economy affect the disappearing middle class but no solutions suggested.

Fast paced and insightful read!
Unique insights into a world where only a few people work and even a smaller number succeed. Market events of the past year can separate those who excel in the field from those who fail. The book is a quick read for anyone interested in the markets and is sprinkled with bits of knowledge regarding money management in a crisis. I greatly enjoyed reading the book and hearing a unique perspective.
