Do you need a pc for the monitor to work?

No the monitor will work with anything as long as you plug the Hdmi cable from the monitor into something else it was work

Will this monitor work with the macbook pro m1?

It connects to my Macbook Pro M1 but the fonts are all blurry no matter what setting i use due to not supporting the relevant HiDPI resolutions - have to use 'BetterDummy' to work around this which is ok but not great

What power cable does this monitor use? I need to buy a longer one

I am using S2722DZ It is a normal monitor trapezoid 3 pin power connector with around 2M long.

Can this monitor be powered via usb-c connection from a docking station?

I do not think so. I just put it in storage, so I am sorry I can check it for you. It can power the computer and single point connection using usb-c.
