Weber Replacement Flavorizer Bars, 21.5", for Spirit 200 series (side-mounted control panel), Spirit 500, and Genesis Silver A Gas Grills

This was a perfect fit for our weber grill's old rusty ones.

I purchased these from Amazon 4 years ago, and they still work great! While they will rust/corrode over the course of time, the price difference b/wn these and stainless steel flavorizer bars is big enough that you can purchase the porcelain ones & know they will last you a long time. I grill year-round, and live in New England...so that may contribute to the current state of my bars. That said, I still think these solidly do the job because: 1) I don't cook food on the bars (I cook them on the grates! :) ) 2) I use an old paint scraper to keep them clean from food debris/rust build-up (I scrape them 3-4 times/year) 3) Save at least $20 vs. stainless-steel (and put that towards a new ignition/grate/etc) Given the current condition of mine after 4 years, I expect to get at least another 3-4 years out of these before even thinking about replacing them.

I own a Genesis Silver A (the smaller model) and if you do too then you're at the right place for replacement Flavorizer Bars. The B & C (larger) model replacement bars are at this link . The ones that came with the grill (sheesh...like 7 years ago now?) finally deteriorated to the point of disintegration at the center of two of the bars. These replacement bars practically make my relatively old grill as good as new again. And if you haven't already, you should also grab some replacement grates for your grill. Not the porcelain ones though; go with the stainless steel grates . The Genesis Silver A replacement stainless steel grates should have come with the grill; unfortunately, the grill came with the porcelain grates which I should have replaced the same day I got the grill 7 years ago (I replaced the grates in 2010 and there's a dramatically improved difference). The stainless steel grates work much better because the heat is more evenly distributed, and they're just a more solid product. There's not much more that can be said about Flavorizer Bars and cooking grates, so let me tell you a few things that I do to make my Weber work best for me. -Most importantly...keep it covered. Amazon sells a cover ...get it. Not coving it will cut its life in half at least. -Cover the funnel shaped grease drip pan with tin foil, poke a hole in the bottom of the foil layer so that the grease can drip into the grease-trap, and change the foil regularly; otherwise build-up on the foil can catch fire and THAT does not make a steak taste very good. -Change the disposable grease traps regularly (otherwise they start to stink). -Get yourself a quality wire brush and use it before each use...NOT after. The build-up on the cooking grates after each use actually protects them from the elements. -Before each use, after you wire brush the grates, put some cooking oil on some paper towels and wipe the grates down. -Pre-heat the grill on high for at least 5 - 10 minutes; it burns off anything left over from the cleaning and makes the cooking grates nice and hot. -Initiate cooking steaks, chops, any cuts of meat (even burgers...no, not hot dogs) on just-over-medium heat for 2 minutes on each side and flip before cooking to your liking. This brief searing of each side locks in the flavor of your cut of meat. -Cook with a closed cover; normal cuts of meat shouldn't take more than a total of 10 minutes (including the searing). -Let your meat sit for up to 5 minutes before slicing (or biting into it!). This locks in the juices; if the juices are too hot when you slice (or bite), they'll run right out of your cut of meat. There you go. Hope that helps. These Weber Flavorizer Bars saved my Genesis Silver A gas grill from the grill graveyard. My grill had two bars missing due to bad rust and the other three were not far behind. I must admit, my plan was to buy a new Weber this one was 15+ years old. The weekend was here, I was making complaints to the wife about the grill and how it has out lived its usefulness. My plan worked and the wife and I went to the local big box store for a new Weber. We found one we both liked and then it happed; I balled up into a ball like a little kid and began to cry. This thing cost more than my first car. "Plan B" I now headed to the Weber replacement parts, low and behold they don't carry the bars I needed. So from the comfort of my chair and a few sips of some single malt I began my search on Amazon. I found the bars I needed Weber 7534 Gas Grill Flavorizer Bars (21.5 x 1.7 x 1.7) . My thought process is order the bars and get a new grill in the off season. The bars arrive when promised, thank you Amazon Prime. They were packaged well and flawless (some had complained of chipping, I lucked out). The install was quick, easy and a perfect fit for the Genesis Silver A (side controls). Now the test, a Porterhouse cooked to medium rare. An A+ was given to the grill. The grill heats up and maintains its temperature perfect. It is truly amazing what a few bars can do for a grill. I will never wait as long to replace parts again. By the way, if you care, I am keeping my old Weber and saving money now.

These are really nice replacements for my original Weber Flavorizer Bars, and fit perfectly in my Weber Spirit 500. I picked them up a little over a year ago. The reason they aren't 5 stars, is that they have already started to rust a bit. I will try to get a picture of them to show.

I have had my Weber Genesis Silver-A grill for over twelve years. It is a perfect size for regular use preparing meals for two people. It does not use very much gas, thanks to its modest size and burner design. In the years that I have owned it I have replaced the burner twice. I have also replaced the flavorizer bars and the cooking grates twice. I have replaced the gas regulator and gas supply hose once. In the past I have always ordered needed parts directly from Weber using their on-line service. When my flavorizer bars needed to be replaced this spring I almost ordered them on-line from Weber but, after seeing the price for purchase, delivery and tax on the Weber site, I checked to see if they were available through Amazon. They were, and at a much better total price. I ordered them from Amazon and promptly received the bars that were packaged in the original Weber shipping box, just as if I had ordered them from Weber. The bars are easily installed in less than five minutes (no tools required). They work great. A few days after installing the new bars I was at Home Depot and walked through the area where they stock replacement parts for gas grills. I was surprised to find the same Weber brand flavorizing bars there for a total cost that was about one dollar less than what I paid through Amazon. As an aside, I was at Home Depot to look for a sump pump. After checking the pumps at Home Depot, Lowes and Sears Hardware, I bought a Zoeller M98 pump from Amazon.

Someone on my block left an Weber gas grill on the road with a free sign and aside from very rusty flavor bars it was in good shape. A bit of elbow grease and this replacement part and I now have a really nice grill... The grill was super good quality to begin with and similar to another Weber gas grill I was thinking of buying already just shows you you can keep a good quality grill for many years if you take care of it and replace any rusty parts now and then, Also the bars are Porcelain-enameled steel, similar to the grates that were on the grill that were rust free. The bars I had to replace were the standard steel and to replace those would have actually been more. . These heat up great and seem to provide very uniform cooking and I think they will last for many years. We are very happy with our almost Free grill :)

This product works very well with our Weber grill which is an older model. Every few years we rebuy this product and it always fits and works correctly.
