Heaven in a can! Seriously this stuff works better than carburetor cleaner!!
Works amazing, better than carburetor cleaner or brake cleaner that dissolves before I get to use something in conjunction with it. I can spray it on a gasket, and leave it for 15 minutes and it's still there waiting for me! Best thing is it works perfectly with a roloc pad and removes EVERY BIT OF THE GASKET! I took pictures of a 350 small block with the original head gaskets on the bottom end of the engine (before and after). As you can see it DESTROYS the gasket but not the plastic roloc pad. Couldn't believe it! Will only be using this product for gasket removal, it just works better than anything I have ever used (and I've tried everything from mineral spirits to pinesol to remove gaskets and everything in between)!

I definitely recommend this over a variety of gasket removers
I definitely recommend this over a variety of gasket removers! I have tried products from 3M, Klean Strip, and other companies as well as oven cleaners and acetone. CRC works the best! It's strength is somewhere between brands you'll find at big box automotive and hardware stores and aircraft stripper. It's powerful and works quickly but is not as damaging as aircraft stripper. You can leave this on for 15-30min and the gasket will be completely soft and gooey, making removal and clean up with acetone a breeze!I've heard if you leave it on too long it will begin to strip paint. I've never had this problem with this product; however, I'd still be cautious!

It works but not quite as well as advertised. I had to clean off 16 years old baked on gasket material from aluminum engine parts, so a razor blade was out of the question. I purchased this can thinking it would make it easy. While it did aid in softening the extremely hard and brittle gasket material, it was still far from easy. I had to spray it on, wait 5-10 minutes, only to be able to scrape off only the topmost layer of material with my plastic razor blade. Then I had to spray again, wait 5-10 more minutes, and scrape the next layer, and repeat several times until all of the gasket material was removed. So, the product DOES work and DOES soften up the material but it requires repeated application.

Great but not Magic
I purchased this to remove the head gasket and the crankcase gasket on my 1975 Honda CB 550 F SS. I've read some reviews where it is like a miraculous eater of gaskets that if left on long enough it will turn gaskets into liquid and you can remove them just with the wipe of a towel. While that "might be true" for some people, it definitely wasn't the case fore me.I did a few tests with it to see what the optimum time would be to let the gaskets "soak". I shook it up like a paint can (rattle can) to make sure it would have a smooth and even spray and saturated the gaskets with an even amount of the white foam.*First I let them soak for about an hour. Didn't have the "wipe off" effect. (They were softer however). I cleaned them off.*Soaked for 6 Hours. Still didn't have the "wipe off" effect. (About the same softness as an 1 hr).*Soaked them for 4 days. They foam dried up, which on the can it recommends that for removing paint, so I was pretty hopeful that the gasket would be very easy to remove. However, they weren't. There was gasket residue I was trying to remove from the head gasket, but even this method didn't nothing to remove them.Even with all of this soaking the gasket residue was still there and as solid as ever, but the crank case gasket was getting softer. I decided to use the SOAK FOR AN HOUR and SCRAPE WITH PLASTIC SCRAPERS method to remove the gasket left on the crank case. Honestly, this worked, it took a lot of time (about 8 hrs to get everything to a perfect mirror smoothness), but honestly worth it.While this isn't a miracle spray to destroy gaskets (might have been because my gaskets are as old as sin or something), but it is a great additive to help remove them quicker. Also a huge added bonus, it kills carbon deposits like a champ which should be advertised. The fact that it is a thick foam lets it cling to the pistons and valves and it eats the carbon right off them MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the carbon cleaner I purchased at a local auto parts store.OVERALL due to the fact that this isn't the miracle gasket remover and I don't see anyway it would work in the 10 - 15 minutes advertised on the can, but it did redeem itself as an additive and carbon slayer I'm giving it a 4 out of 5.ALSO, I'm going to post pictures of the gasket residue, gaskets, and carbon deposits (before and after) to help anyone else out in buying this product, because there's almost zero info anywhere about this stuff.

A Warning not present on the can
This one star isn't in regards to the remover itself but more as a warning to future buyers. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! I was using this to help remove some old graphite head gasket baked into a iron block. Some of the spray got in the cylinders and etched the machined surface. Obviously I let it sit on the surface too long, typically I was wiping it up right away as I didn't want anything sitting on the cylinder surface other that oil. But I didn't expect this stuff to actually eat the metal, for it to have that kind of damaging ability, it should have some sort of warning or advisement in the directions on the can.Honestly this stuff didn't do much for that gasket anyway, nor did it help remove a paper gasket at the rear main seal, it does work well at removing old RTV...Removes RTV, paint, and eats metal.

Did not work for me
I bought this to easily remove gaskets from a 30 year old motorcycle engine which I am currently rebuilding. The gaskets, sort of paper gasket, were pretty much baked on.Unfortunately this gasket remover does not help at all. I followed instruction and even let it sit over night, but no difference.I am only able to scrape off a tiny bit of the old gasket and will be looking for other removers.Maybe I was expecting some sort of magic, but there's not.Disappointed and definitely no time saver.Giving it two stars thinking it may just not work on my kind of gaskets...

Great stuff!
This works great on removing gasket, sealers, adhesives paint, varnish! Spray it on, let it sit about 10 minutes, cleans smooth! I used a little wire brush and the surface is nice and clean and ready for installation. must get it if you don't have it!
