Better then comments suggest
Hotter than a gas hob.The adaptor is the only reason i bought this.People saying the adaptor leaks must have received faulty items.I have used average to low quality butane cartridges. You can tell from the flame and the heat how good the gas quality is. Cheap cans won't burn as hot or as high, but they will still do the job of making multiple meals/hot water.Don't believe reviews about the flame ups when using the adaptor.. if the can moves or rolls then you will get a flare up, but if the can is still then you should be fine. I can replicate the fire ups by trying to move the canister while connected.I've used it in can upright position (a bit risky as the hose isn't long enough for much distance between the can and the flame) ... And also the can on its side. From reading reviews i was worried this position would cause the flame to spit but it's been fine. When using any kind of flammable gas, always check that the device isn't leaking by putting it to your ear before you light it.If there is a leak it might be something as simple as an O ring in the adaptor, when the item is as good value as this (costs nearly £40 to get an equivalent in GoOutdoors and you don't get an adaptor with that!) It's worth keeping a few O rings around. The box is solid and very rugged. The piezo housing is a little too unprotected fair my liking, as long as you're careful, you'll be fine, but a couple of times I've nearly bent it while collapsing the legs. It may be rugged enough to just bend back but i just wish there was a solid plate it was mounted on so it wasn't just free-floating

Does the job.
Great looking compact stove that worked very well when sheltered from the wind and seemed a good quality build. The stove does have 'windsheilds' however these appear ineffective. On first use it took a long time to bring a small fryingpan with a splash of oil up to heat. The stove was exposed, sitting on top of a rock in a light breeze. I moved the stove to sit behind the rock and out of any wind and it preformed much better, almost instant heat! Boiled a small pan of water in minutes in the same position - using the stove in a sheltered spot is key. I found the legs quite stiff to unfold - I'm not sure if in time this will improve through use but I was worried I'd bend the frame if I had to use much more force. For the price it's an excellent unit.

Pocket power.
Taken this pocket ticket on three camping trips this year. Still haven't gone through the first gas canister purchased at the same time. Plenty of teas, meals and even a Korean bbq plate has been no problem for this little burner. The same thing in Go Outdokrs is more than double the price (even on sale).Cant recommend enough. Will be prime time a new box for it though as the box it comes with, while adequate, is a little snug.

Fantastic value for money
Overall so far I can find no fault with the stove . I've been using it for a little over 6 months now. Highly recommend if you are needing to replace or buy a new stove.
