Horrible sound quality, sound like mike held next to phonograph
If you want to feel like you are back in 1961 listening to this "record" for the first time, then this is the CD for you. For the rest of us, it is arguable one of the worst CD I have ever listened to from a sound quality perspective. It appears this was copied directly from a record. You even get to hear the old pops as you listed to it. Also some of the times between songs are excessively long. The depth to the music is comparable to your old AM transistor radio. Definitely recommend avoiding this Hallmark Music and Entertainment release.

Keep away from Runaround Sue
At little over £2 I guess I shouldn't complain but knowing that at least three of these tracks are available in crystal clear stereo and the rest in brilliant mono it's awful listening to this album that has been copied (very badly) from a worn vinyl LP. Even the tracks have a four or five second run-in before the music starts. Worst of all, although the complete album is in mono (no problems with that) the surface noise is in stereo! I only bought this because the version of Somebody Nobody Wants was the original version (not the stereo alternate that Ace Records included on their late 80's/early 90's reissue of this album as a two-for-one with Presenting Dion and the Belmonts). If you're playing it in your car or as background music and aren't too worried about the tracks sounding like you've just taped them on a cassette off an LP on your Amstrad, then you could do far worse than invest the £2.27 but if you want to hear how vibrant the tracks really are, try any other Dion CD, it can't sound worse than this.Overall, it would have been a no-brainer 5 stars for the album IF it had used the original master tapes, but sadly no stars for the amateurish way it has been presented, so I've pitched my final total somewhere inbetween. Listen people what I'm telling you, keep away from Runaround Sue!

Great Music
For years I was looking for songs and stumbled on to some of hes songs and there and behold was my favourite Little star, It's the wonderful memories that are attacted to these songs, Growing old but remincising with the past that can never be restored living and feeling like a teenager again so the songs are fabulous and worth lounging around with a little bit of movement here and there as there is no other way of saying or telling you the feelings I have when I listen to them and no better way of diplaying this without music. Who wants to grow old, I don't but by this way I can listen over and over again and remember the good times with songs that have meanings. Yes I strongly recommend this c.d. its worth adding to your collections. Sit down and try rock and rolling with a bit of fun. Robyn
