Mostly canvass with some leather. Fits significant amount of items in addition to laptop. two separate compartments within. Made well, secures major compartments with velcro and also a zipper.

Durable, well-organized, but has a bad zipper.
This is a tough review to write, because while I love this bag overall, the zipper on the front of the bag got stuck right away. So what was once the convenient pocket on the front is now useless. The bag arrived with the zipper separated, but I was heading out on a 10-day job, and I needed to use it right away.Overall, the bag construction is excellent and durable. The canvas is thick and seems like it will hold up well for a long time. The leather flap gives the bag a nice look, while it can feel a bit heavy, so that is a trade-off. The zippers are heavy-duty, which is great, but the one on the outside of the bag (for the flap pocket) seems to heavy for its use, which is a simple pocket. It would be better if that zipper direction was reversed, however, because when it is in the lower position, the pocket is open; this seems counter-intuitive, as pulling the zipper down (with gravity) should close it, but that is just my opinion based on security concerns. But while I am on the subject of security, the large flap over the top is great for keeping interior items safe, as well as protecting items from weather.I love that the bag is so well organized. The pockets on the outside conveniently and securely hold quick-grab items, such as my phone and sunglasses. Likewise, the divided interior and inner pockets and pen-holders are super convenient for smaller items.The strap is nice and heavy, and the strap adjustment is perfect and secure.Mainly, it was the broken zipper that was the disappointment, so my next step is to seek a replacement from the seller. If the new one corrects the zipper issue, I will be happy to adjust my review accordingly.
