Just as the header says, I grew up with Lego in the mid 80's to late 90's. Now I am sharing the joys of Lego with my son. We needed a bunch of base plates for a few Lego builds and after looking/researching I decided to purchase these. When I purchased them I had my reservation about it. I am not one of those die hard Lego only fanatics since I grew up with some Tyco bricks in my mix, but worried about the true compatibility with Lego. Let me put your worries to rest. These are great. They work well and are affordable. 3 months in and I have not had any issues with these bricks. We build on them without worry and I look forward to continuing to use them when we transition to making brick films. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Lego and the joy they brought me as a kid. They are my fondest memories. But the cost of an official Lego base plate is just too much for my family. Go this route if you want your children to experience the joy of building with bricks!

I bought these for my grand son’s birthday, and they’re perfect for all his Lego building he loves to do. He likes to add second and third stories to his buildings and these are perfect.

I love these brick bases for the building bricks we got for our daughter. There are so many and in so many colors my girls' are loving them. They are very sturdy and a nice size but even if they wanted a bigger space it's easy to connect the pieces or even stack them since these are stackable bases. So they can make different levels if they wanted. It's dunb to buy name brand bricks when these are perfect and do just the same thing but for a cheaper price.

The translucent and the solid ones are different thickness. They both work with Lego but I was using them to make a lego table and when I put them side by side the lego's couldn't connect to both plates at the same time. I put the translucent on one side and the solid on the other. I'm not too worried about it. They still work and are much cheaper than Lego brand.

I was looking around for base plates for my daughters legos. The name brand base plates were ridiculously overpriced for plastic piece. This 12 pack is fantastic! What a bargain and is totally compatible with regular Lego blocks. I highly recommend these base plates for your Lego needs.
